Bentaleb out, but first sub on. He's looking slow out the races all pre season and today, would love to just play him but we really need 3 points and to attack the game early.
Dier because its Stoke, and with the rest of the team I've chosen I want them pushing hard, so we need someone to sit and break counters and generally be more defensive.
Alli because we desperately need someone to run with the ball and have some positive effect.
Berahino for some pace and directness, as we're not getting him to sit on the bench.
Lamela on the right - but we must get him to be more direct and head down the line, I can't take much more of him going inside - I'd like the wingers we swap sides to change up the inside/down the line.
Back line speaks for itself, Walker actually played very well today, so as much as I like Tripper, can't drop him after a good performance imo.
Eriksen is a 50-50 with Dembs for me because its Stoke... I'm not 100%, but I'd probably give Eriksen it to be honest, especially as he can pick a pass to unlock the wide men I'd play.

Chelsea play 4-2-3-1 and they looked fine last season.

This really is not difficult. Only questions are fitness levels for Lloris, Rose and Lamela

I like this line up, but would swap Toby and Dier. Ta's passing is very good and I think he'd be better suited to the cm role.

I'd also swap lamela for mason to see the lad okay in a more advanced role.

I would like to see us experiment with 3 at the back - we have the CBs for it. Might also get the best out of our creative midfielders as well.

I like this, have suggested 3-5-2 a couple of times myself (and got strange looks lol).

Why can't dembele play the deep lying CM role? He's physical, pacey and can pass.
Mason will be knocking on the door but aside from his fuck up vs man.u i think Bentaleb is still slighlty better.
Eriksen and Chadli need to up their game, they got good stats last year but for me are not enough of a consistent threat in games. Kane needs a back-up striker too to push him.
