Imagine in some amazing world we signed Berahino + Son

With Lamela and other outgoings providing the capital to do so.

We can dream...

Kane
Berahino- Eriksen- Son

N'jie and Chadli on bench.

That is full of pace, skill and goal threat.

So obviously would never happen.

This link doesn't make sense to me. If Bayer wins tonight, will they part with him?

And can he even be a backup for Kane? I haven't seen him play, but Transfermarkt has him as a winger. We have enough wide forwards, provided that Lamela doesn't leave.

Personally I don't see him as a striker, I don't even see the potential to be a striker, well not in the EPL anyway.

I do see a two footed attacking mid who plays at pace and loves a shot from outside the box though. He's an upgrade for the right side. Two of Townsend, Lamela or Dembele are off IMO. Lennon is a given.

For those more knowledgeable than me, if we signed a DM, is it possible that we could play Mason, Son, Eriksen, Kane and Berahino ahead of the DM (in my favoured 4-4-2 diamond or some form of 4-3-3) or would this be Ossie territory?

My twitter has pretty much exploded with news of this one and pretty much all at the same time.

If it's not true then I'd be amazed cos it's not often that so many different sources converge on a story simultaneously like this.

What we need now is some good ol' fashioned airport ITK. Send the drones out to Heathrow!!

Woah, what the fuck is going on here?!?

A rouse for WBA to lower their valuation on Berahino?

Lamela's replacement?!

Think my production level in work for the day has just nose dived....

Hello Mr Hindsight. :)

Ha nah mate, sizable portion of my neg ratings were from the excitement of 2013 and I was questioning the planning in the purchases. I wasn't perfect though, as while I called Lamela not being mentally or physically suited to England, I thought Capoue would be a smashing success.

The point here though is that you should be excited with the direction we're taking. We're actually restoring balance and cohesion to the attack, even if it doesn't look like that much of an upgrade on paper.

.................Eriksen.................
.........Mason.........Son..........
...................DM...................

or

Berahino.....Kane.......Son
Eriksen.........DM........Mason

http://readbundesliga.com/2015/08/26/spurs-close-signing-e30m-bundesliga-star/?

Tottenham are set to bid €30m (£21.9m) for Bayer Leverkusen striker Heung-Min Son, according to German publication KSTA Sport.

Spurs have been heavily linked with a number of strikers this summer as they desperately look to ease the burden on Harry Kane.

The Premier League outfit have already had two bids rejected for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino and are stepping up their search for forwards by targeting the South Korea international.

Son, whose contract still has three years to run at Leverkusen, is reportedly on his way to Spurs to a complete a medical ahead of completing a deal before the transfer window closes next week.

We've been linked to him loads of times before.

Could be true, could be journalists regurgitating old stories.

Additionally I wouldn't see him as being the striker option. IMO he would be in addition to Berahino or some other striker we may not know about yet.

It could be argued that both Son and N'Jie are pretty similar in that they can both play up front if required but are arguably more at home on the wing.

Surely this guy is a Lamela replacement. I would be concerned if we bought him in to play striker when he barely played there last season (although he can play second striker, but we don't really use that system). €30m also seems a bit far-fetched as well.

But if he is the Lamela replacement, and we will bring in a striker, then fuck it, I'm all in.

Im pretty sure its simply a case of if Lamela goes we will buy son for the right hand side. And keep Townsed as his back up.
IF we get a good fwrd and DF we will be so much stronger
