Tottenham considering ending interest in Saido Berahino but in talks with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Korean forward Heung-Min Son #THFC #WBA
You would imagine it would be one or the other judging by the amounts involved but we would still need somebody who can fill in up front - N'jie perhaps but point still remains.

Needless to say signing both would be huge and covers all bases - makes an awful lot of sense to me.

Can't get it to translate on my phone. Source of the original story

According to sources for the "Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger", the 23 year old Son was in London on Tuesday, rather than Wednesday as first reported for a medical. The fee should be EUR 30 million. The club commented this message evasively: "quote about UCL"

The South Korean moved before the 2013/2014 campaign for ten million euros from HSV. In 62 Bundesliga appearances for the Werkself, he has scored 21 goals and provided seven assists. In addition, the midfielder has had 19 appearances in the Champions League, where he has scored five goals.

The big thing here is them saying he was here yesterday

I'm scratching my head thinking of any world class footballer, that has ever come from an Asian country.. In general they are not ideally suited to the physical challenge of Premier League..
United had Kagawa who was high profile and failed
Ji-Sung Park was very good for United before he tired. Ki has been very good for Swansea also. Although neither are classed as "world class".

Personally thought Park Ji-Sung carved out a very good career here.

Wanted to say that for people who are saying maybe this will send a message to WBA that they are asking too much for their player...they can ask whatever they want. They don't want to sell.

It's the same as Man U fans saying that we should sell Kane to them for £25 mil because he isn't worth £45 or whatever they think we would ask for. He is our player and we don't want to sell (unless it's for silly money). Same with Bale being sold to Madrid.

Poor guys. It's too bad they don't have contacts with a big company (say the world's pre-eminent pharmaceutical) to cover that loss :D
It's a big hit, whether you think so or not. Bayer does not fund the club. LG became a partner because of Heung Min Son, who became a brand ambassador for LG. They are going to lose them without him.
