What would you say his best position is ?

Genuinely couldn't call it, either wing he's strong and I think he can do a good job up top or just behind a striker too

That's where he plays most of the time for Levekusen & for HSV it was a mix of left and support striker.

And RW and CF. He plays LW 'officially' for Leverkusen cause that's where he's needed, but he pops up on the right a lot as the three interchange. In fact, if you watch any of the videos almost none of his goals come from the left hand side

I think we should all take a moment to think about poor old Michael Schade this evening... negotiating with DL is a traumatic experience. ;)

If anything you should be comparing him to Lamela, not Berahino, as Lamela is probably the player going out, and Son and SB play in different positions.

Hence my comment:

"I wonder if this means Lamela is on his way"

I was just comparing him to Berahino because there is a chance it may be either/or. Berahino plays forward and in wide positions. So does Son.

Most of his goals came from counter attack ..I dont know how he would do with our posession based systen

Yeah, from what I've seen he's very two footed.

From what I've seen he works much harder and smarter without the ball than Chadli, he creates more chances and scores at a similar rate. From what I've seen I think he'd be a really good fit and would give us the offensive output of Chadli but with the added increase in work rate.
I agree with you but my concern is having 3 players who 1 or more would need to play out of position to a certain extent, in order to get game time, whilst not having an absolute starter on the right.

Leverkusen's manager just said on German TV that Son has decided he no longer wants to play for them and they will accept his decision to leave. Basically just confirmed the transfer

I am watching the interview with Leverkusen coach Schmidt right now live. He is being asked about Son, and he said he has to accept the departure of Son as he has a squad good enough to cover the loss of the player.

Think his game would come on big time with runners beyond as that's his main strength.. Defence splitting passes.
His main prob is trying to do too much. He's been stuck in that mode and can't seem to shake it off. Don't understand it tbh, he just needed to calm down and simplify everything for a while. but he just couldn't bring himself to do it, had to keep proving and proving and proving he had the talent. And that stopped him from showing he had the talent.

*sigh*

Son
Eriksen
Berahino

Kane

Would love to see that.
Does indeed have a nice look to it but still concerned about our central midfield pairing as a CM2.

In any case, looking positively at this, N'jie would make a great impact player in this system too.
