Levurkusen into the CL.

Shows how big a draw we are that Son wants to play for us.
He may have memories of watching us when Young-Pyo Lee played here in 2005-2008. South Koreans are very nationalistically loyal. We are about to become the most supported team in South Korea overnight.

I haven't seen loads of Son, just the odd Leverkusen game and lots of Bundesliga highlights and the obligatory YT reels. I actually think, based ion the limited amount I've seen he'd be good fit for our system. He's got pace, he can take players on from wide areas and beat them, he scores at the same rate as Berahino (but that includes 4 penalties for Berahino), he creates more, sees more ball, can use both feet, strong, and he seems to work hard off the ball.

I wonder if this means Lamela is on his way

My worry about Son, is that his best position is on the left, just like Chadli and N'jie, his secondary position would be support striker, just like Chadli & N'jie and then the right wing/forward & striker would be third & forth best positions, just like the other two.I think we need to bring someone in who's best position is the right.

N'jie played as part of a front 2 last season, why do people keep saying his best position is lw? I think it's yet to be determined where he'll play mostly for us

Who says left is his best position?

Seeing as he hasn't ever appeared on MOTD I know nothijng about him. Although I understand he is not a CF.
Berahino on the other hand is more than capable of playing as an out and out striker.
But then this could be a replacement for Lamela?

I'd be very happy with either or both, but personally Son would be my choice of the two...if a choice had to be made.

I think Berahino's got a lot more to his game than some of your comments in the past suggest. Both him and Son are quite direct. However I think Son has the edge when it comes to offering more to overall attacking.

I tend to pay more attention to German football because I think it's closer in style (though obviously not identical) to the Prem than any other league. Son has done a great job there and I have little doubt he would adapt well to English football.

Highlights are highlights, sure but definitely most of his goals and runs are from the right in the most recent videos which suggests that's his current position

Pretty sure there are a couple of Korean members on here who said they started supporting us because of Lee

imagine having Son, Clinton, SB. The pace, movement, dimension, and goal treat will be awesome.

Wow, the thought of this is getting me giggy.

Agree

Lamela + Fazio can cover Son's fee so no real excuses not to bring both in.

Son's best position is right sided winger/ forward

Will make Harry's job a lot easier, that's for sure. Now just throw in Trippier's crossing ability and he may have a chance to get 30 again.

If you read comments from the player himself, he's happy to play anywhere across the front line so we can't really pigeon hole him as primarily an option for the left. He can play from the right, so could Njie possibly. He could support the CF.
