I watched him live in a couple of Asian Cup matches earlier this year. He's a player that's instantly noticeable as being a grade above his cohort, the same way you could notice that about Modric after a season.

This is the sort of player we should be spending big money on. I am excited about this prospect and hope it happens.

Just an observation on his style, he's not what you would imagine for an Asian player. He's quite tall and rangy, very quick with incredible close control and has a very high work rate. He's very smart in positioning and makes a lot of runs.

His issue at Spurs might be not having those runs honoured, but if he develops a good rapport with Kane and Eriksen he will be a deadly player, particularly against the slower defensive units.

His passing and movement is very clever and he creates opportunities for quick, short passing attacks down either wing.

His finishing is pretty good, though could improve and he has a tendency to err on the side of shooting from distance, a bit like Chadli.

Agreed. Key with Son is his ability to run behind the defense. Problem though, who is going to pt those over the top balls to him ?
Mason is only one that comes to mind.

The Korean captain whose name I have forgotten played long passes to him from DM to set up attacking movements. Rather than trying to play him in over the top he would collect the ball and either try and beat his man or initiate quick passing moves to slip in behind the defense, some involved him touching the ball 3 or 4 times before pulling the trigger on the goal attacking run.

I would imagine that having pace on either side of Eriksen will afford him a lot more space and time to produce key passes.

The Koreans played a hold up 9 and Son played at 7. If Kane and Son develop an understanding it will free up Eriksen to make runs into the box as well as playing the coordinating AM role. This is a good buy.

You can instantly see where this bloke will fit in to the way we want to play on field and the work ethic and mentality we want to develop as a club.

Kane has shown ability to pass behind defenders, ball to Kane moving away from goal and him passing to Son/Chadli/Njie running inside from wings could work pretty well

B. Leverkusen CEO Michael Schade on Heung-Min Son deal to #COYS:"We are in discussions, but there hasn't been any final negotiation...."
Still makes zero sense he is here to supposedly agree personal terms and has done a medical.

Got to be near complete or reaching an agreement surely?

Maybe they're just holding off until replacement has been officially confirmed

Cannot believe you got a spam, that was a genius comment

Well maybe that person wears such an ensemble on a regular basis. In light of that, it would be an egregious comment.

But personally I am bit more worried about the informative rating on the Jackie Chan gif. Did somebody think I was opening up and that was the actual state of my marriage

Because I am totally into Puerto Rican guys and no way would I marry Jackie Chan.

Schade: "The next days will show, but we will only let Son Heung-Min go when we are satisfied with the terms." #COYS

C'mon if anybody is surprised that there's spanner in the deal? We should have all expected it. But we were so pumped yesterday we forgot that we don't do "easy".

Nothing different to what was said yesterday in these quotes....
