That I agree. But money does talk and if they came in with something mental, ie 50 million odd, then maybe he will go. Could get a DM as striker a lot quicker
They have offered 37 million for Martial! I wouldn't put it past them but can't see Levy doing it- not this window, anyway

Irrespective of how this all pans out. I still fail to see the benefits of waiting so late.

From a business point of view it seems flawed. From a footballing point of view its actually negligent

Absolutely.

The only way we benefit is when we get offered a player, that's a bonus. Like VDV.

Leaving your actual preferred targets until the last possible minute doesn't benefit you, it makes you more likely to overpay, as you can't afford to walk away from a deal.

I don't believe for a second that we will entertain any bid for Hugo
Even a huge one over 30 million it would have to be rediculous for Danny to even ponder it for a nano second.

Try not to panic chaps. :)

If De Gea is going I'd be astonished if they didn't bid. Why wouldn't they.
If we sold him though there'd be riots, next level stupidity. No time to replace and not even time to do a PR purchasing drive ala Bale sale.

I put this in the player thread, but some indication that Navas may be coming the other way for De Gea. Navas isn't De Gea/Lloris level, but with Romero and Navas, they wouldn't need to be throwing around 30m for Lloris.

Does this window close seem to have more on the line for Levy than any in recent memory or it is me? Seems we could get two great players in by splashing cash to solve two biggest weaknesses, or we could fail on everything, leaving two gaping holes that could ruin the season and perhaps even sell our world-class keeper. So many possible outcomes that affect the rest of the season. Seems to me other windows were more for touching up areas of the team.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

IF Lamela isn't sold to Italy tonight, will we have any funds I spend on new players?

Pretty much all the Italian teams are wanting Loan to buys so there would be no money from them anyway (unless there are some creative accounting thingys you can do)

I would be astonished if Hugo went now. If they Sold De-Gea about a month ago I would of been more worried

I very much doubt Lloris is going anywhere. Management will have collectively lost its mind to even entertain the idea. There hasn't even been a sniff of it from ITKs up until now. Also, JJ said we'd be "happy" and that sure as hell wouldn't make us happy.

No way is Lloris moving this window, whether or not Utd are in for him. The only way Levy could get away with selling him at this point and not inciting a riot in the team and the fans would be if we got De Gea and 25 mil pounds in return.

Esp considering the deal for De Gea includes Navas coming to them from RM. They won't be coming for Hugo this window.
