Rubbish. I used to live in the West Midlads, no too far from West Brom and I've done the M6/M1 trip to London in less than 2 hours many times
I live in London and did it a couple months ago it wasn't 2 hours but hey ho

Are you not reassured by his comments? He's not panicking so neither should we imo. Don't expect the ITK to be throwing too many names about tbh, it's not as if we have long to wait to find out what's gonna happen (y)

Compared to last summer JJ seems as happy as a sandboy. IMO if he gets anxious then I would, until then I'm with @Stoof and blindly backing Our Dear Leader to pull the proverbial rabbit out by his earholes....:geek:

I don't think anybody should be alarmed at the lack of genuine ITK at the moment.

At the end of the window it seems that the ITK folk, who are genuinely close to the club, tend to keep schtum in case anything they say online leaks into the press and negatively affects the deals we are trying to complete.

The info JJ and Trix are giving at the moment is noticeably more sparse than usual, and they're not mentioning any players by name, which to me suggests that we are significantly far down the line with specific players, but the risky nature of dealing this close to the deadline makes every move extremely sensitive.

Italian transfer about to shut in the next few minutes, so if AC Milan are really trying to do a deal for Witsel it needs to be soon (not that we always hear straight away).

Germany shut at 6pm, rest of Europe has til midnight.

Would you say lessons have been learnt? Are you happy with the state of affairs?
The state of affairs will be discussed once the window has slammed shut and we know what the state of affiars actually is. Until then its like PMT.

Frankly I'm quite content with the state of affairs, we addressed our biggest weakness and Son looks to be a shrewd buy, sure I'd like more but I'm not greedy, I'll make my full conclusion when the window shuts.

This whole 'lessons have been learned' concept seems like something to use against Levy when we don't sign any of the 150 players we're linked to every transfer window.

Well I've been witness to many a transfer window on this forum/thread, going back many years before I became a member. The last few years/windows have been relatively calm and quite often without us expecting much or wanting much on deadline day. This one is shaping up to be the most fraught in many a year. Can Levy pull it off ? Is it yet another window where we are left short after a mad dash on all kinds of tangents on the last day that invariably end up in failure ? No idea, but I think whatever happens tomorrow will provoke a big reaction in one direction or another. This is either going to end up brilliant or there will be a meltdown of epic proportions.

The introduction of Javi Martinez is hilarious to me. It's like we've been going through a role call of some of my favourite deep lying midfielders in the past few weeks Illarramendi - Witsel - Martinez. Ridiculous. Doubting anything will ever come of it, but Martinez is a player that I would have pretty much put in my World XI back when he was at Athletic/ just moved to Bayern. Brilliant player.
