Also I just looked on Wikipedia and it says that Kane won Milwall's young player of the season the year he was there as an 18 year old, scoring 9 in 27 appearances... Did you really see him playing for either club?!?
Yeah I did and I always thought he looked average at best! He can't have had much competition if he won that award!I hope he is the real deal because he could do a job for England, but I just don't see it.

He's dived plenty of times the last 18 monthsdid you not see him against us at the Lane last year??
I don't think that was a dive and was probably a penalty in most neutrals eyes and even some of us lot on here if I remember correctly. If you're labelling him a diver because of that then I doubt there's a player in the PL who isn't a diver.
An 18 year old who goes in on loan and scores 9 in 27 appearances and wins young player of the year for a struggling championship side looks average? Sorry mate but you are making yourself look silly IMO.

They are certainly in the mix Romford. It seems to be 7 teams battling for 2 spots this year with Leicester, ourselves, Spurs, Liverpool and Everton all in with a shout, along with Chelsea (who surely have to pick up soon?) Man Utd seem to be considered as being a given for a top 3 place, but they haven't looked particularly impressive to me so far and it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they finish lower than 4th.

You can keep repeating that stat but there are plenty of strikers who have been one season wonders....

I think he has proven he isnt a one season wonder..
He is only 22 and wont come into his prime until about 27 so to be playing this well already is very good.
A Lot of RVN goals were preventable , many goals in the game are. However they all count and you got to be there to score them.
Look at Zarates vs arsenal Cech should have had that all day long.. doesnt make it any less of a goal

I don't see how he has proved that he's not a one season wonder because he's only had one great season. If he gets 20 odd goals this year then fair enough but I don't think he will.
Yeah that's true he's still very young. Which makes scoring all those goals last year even more impressive, I think it was a bit of a fluke though.
The way RVN used to dispatch his finishes was different though. Most of Kane's goals last year just seemed to be down to a bit of luck, or poor defending and most of the ones that went in, I thought, should have been saved. Combined with a number of penalties he scored and I just thought he rode his luck to get his tally high and won't have another season where he scores 20 goals again. If he does it again this season though, then it clearly isn't luck so fair play to him.
Maybe Cech should have done better, but Zarate did wrong foot him. He took it quite early and it was low and hard too.

You just have to look at his history to see that he has goals in him. 159 appearances in all comps with 59 goals that's outstanding for a 22 year old. His movement is outstanding hence why he gets a lot of chances. Ironically if he was at Arsenal he would fit their system perfectly. Bet they are gutted they let him go

You know he has 7 goals for Tottenham already this season, 10 if you include England and it's only mid November.
Yeah, the goal against Villa was supreme, not many strikers in the league would be capable of that sort of finish. Not sure how that guy can criticise Harry's finishing last year. He's one of the most accomplished finishers I've ever seen. Not seen someone pick out the corners in the way he does, from either foot before.
Was snooping around on Redcafe this morning and found this:
"If Poch has sorted out the mentality of this Spurs side, they're in with a good chance. Every time I think to myself I want Spurs to finish 4th, I see Glaston post and I think Feck that and pray for Leicester or West Ham."
GlaatonSpur still being a nob then

Because they don't have his level of skill and ability to see the luck seize the lucky opportunity and place the ball with perfect precision into the one spot the goalie wasn't lucky enough to coverMost of Kane's goals is down to luck and bad defending?
In that case why doesn't every striker in the league score 20 goals?, what a fucking idiot.
Was it Jack Niclaus who said the more he practiced the luckier he got, our H has obviously been practicing! those West Ham lot, what wankers
I remember reading about Vardy and how his latest goal (being a Penalty) was still important for his run and Leicester's of course, etc etc... (Though I remember many criticising Soldado for his)
The point being, a goal is a goal, no matter how scrappy etc... and any fan who goes on about how a player is not up to scratch because their goals are in some way flukey etc... clearly simply doesn't understand football.
Last time I checked there isn't a goal committee who sits down each week and re-adjusts scores and stats based upon how genuinely class a goal is or not. Jesus wept...
Im not sure its stupidity, it just reinforces my belief that not all the posters on here are actually Spurs fans.there were people in the bournemouth match thread after kane scored his penalty complaining it was a shit penalty. You can't please some people however stupid they are
