Playing Kane at #10 is like moving Lloris to left back to accommodate Vorm. Madness
I certainly think having the option to play Kane at 10 for certain games would be more than useful. Varying our tactics is essential if we want to mix it at a higher level.

Berahino has 3 goals to his name and cannot get into an average West Brom side so I don't see how that makes him ready to start scoring goals for us. And I find the notion of spending £20 million plus on a reserve striker absolutely absurd.

That, my friend, is pure unadulterated bullshit !

I'm not even keen on us signing Berahino, but that doesn't mean I can't acknowledge that he IS the best striker at the club.

He is (I believe?) their top scorer (maybe joint top scorer?) , despite being nothing but a bit part player. Go on, say it, "You've said it yourself, Coopsie, you twat, he's a bit part player. Doesn't that back up my point?"..

No!! He's a bit part player because he's slap bang in the middle of a battle between a disenchanted manager, and an egotistical twat of a chairman. Yes his troubles are somewhat of his own making, but that's because the egotistical twat of a chairman went back on his word, and didn't allow the player to leave, despite saying he would.

The lad acted unprofessionally, but that was off the pitch (which is why I don't want us to sign him). When he's been on the pitch, he's pretty much done what's asked of him, as far as I can ascertain, at least.

In layman's terms, you're wrong!

Is this the Dembele thread or the Berahino thread?

Plus, any striker with his game would struggle to score a hatful of goals in that Tony Pulis team. He doesn't suite the way they play and won't flourish in that system.

Personally I'm on the fence about us signing him, but I believe he would be far more affective in a team that plays the way we do.

Yep, he's not at all suited to Pulis' rugby tactics. But we shouldn't let facts get in the way of an agenda

I'm going to Fulham game tomorrow with colleague who's a fan. Want to see Dembele but if he plays a deal won't be too close!

Feel like Maddison and Dembele would be an incredibly solid January window.

I have no idea if this could work, but maybe we take Dembele in January and then flip Maddison to Fulham (along with maybe Veljkovic or Winks) to help give them some players who can contribute to sweeten the deal? Would really benefit all parties I'd say.

Good to see the usual transfer window tension still reigns abundance in SC. As usual, it doesn't make any difference who- if anyone- we sign; there are still going to be thousands of spouses around the world pawing away their sexually taut partners when this bastard window finally closes.

Coventry would want maddison to stay until the end of the season.

Kane in a more free role could have a similar effect as Bale in that free role. Gives him more space and ability to use his great reading of the game to his advantage. I'm not sure I would want to see it week in and out, but it'd be cool to see tried out.

You don't play one of the best #9s in Europe out of position to accommodate a mediocre player like Berahino. Would Barca play Messi on the wing to get Arda in?

Bollocks. Poch can change the system or he can easily play Berahino ether side of Kane. And if he's banging in goals then Kane would be a terrific no 10. Costa
Has scored about 3 goals this year, doesn't mean he's crap. Just there are other things going on. We know the reasons Berahino isn't on the team and its not his talent. Get over this bad attitude thing. If Bale wasn't allowed to go to real when promises he would probably have sulked too and fallen out with people, like most footballers do

It's factual statement, his playing time this season demonstrates that and just because you don't like does not make that any less true. I would love to see you explain how that is not the case.

As for acknowledging him being the best striker, well capitalising and bolding a word does not make that a fact, it is called an opinion and there is difference between two.

And lets for argument sake that he is their best striker, so what? We are talking about a pool of strikers that consists or Rondon and Lambert and they have a combined 7 goals to their name, it is hardly accolade of note is it?

The mistake you make is that you believe that these problems are unqiue to this season when in fact they are not. Pulis said in 2015 January window that he could go, the player was already showing disrespect at that point by refusing to celebrate his goals in his games and that is not even mentioning he is off-field antics which consisted of him being banned for drink driving as well as being caught taking nitrous oxide.

Berhaino had issues last season but still was able to score 16 goals so I don't see how his current ones (which are largely the same) are now all of a sudden the reason behind his poor form this season.

As for Peace, well Morgan Schneiderlin was in the exact same position as Berhaino the season before. His chairman went back on his world, the player went to twitter to air his views but unlike Berhaino he went on to have this best season in a Southampton shirt. That is the sign of a professional, it is the sign of the player with the right mentality, everything that Berahino is not. I find it amazing how willing so many are to find excuses for a player with a such poor attitude and now one with a poor performance record to go with that.

And if you think that striker that has 3 goals to his name in 17 games represents a player doing what is asked of him then you seriously need to revise how you evaluate players (you might also want to look at your debating skills whilst you are at it).
