Collymore on his radio show tonight predicted us to come third (74 points) after man city (79 points) and the gooners (77 points).
No way are City getting 79 points. They have the hardest remaining fixtures of all. I think around 77-78 will win it

This is all getting really weird now for me. I was listening to the football weekly podcast and barry glendenning thinks we will win the league, many others do to in the football journalist world. It's just a little strange. I really think we won't still, never have and i am still just hopeful of finishing 4th as that was the original target. I'm sure i'm not the only one here thinking like this.

I mean we have played some truly great football, we never give up and just keep on going and when we go a goal down i now just think yep we will score two more just like Sunday. Even with all this i can't see us winning the league, it's not the old spurs fears really. I guess it's just that our aim was top 4 so whats happened so far to me is just a nice situation.

If we do though get to the last two games and still 2nd with a few points away from top i might let myself get a little excited then.
I know what you mean about confidence in the team pulling back in matches. At half time on Sunday I put a small bet on Spurs to win 3-1. You can imagine my joy turn to sorrow when Walkers goal (quite rightly) was disallowed!

Looking at all the remaining fixtures with title contending clubs, I think Arsenal have the easiest run in. They could t ask for a better last 4 out of 5 fixtures. So much pressure to beat them Sats as we will need to keep a gap between us
They've won 2 of their last 8 away games and haven't scored in 4 of the last 6 at the Emirates. If Arsenal were in good form, fair enough. But they're most certainly not.

:nailbiting: loving the fact that the other teams are starting to brick it. Leicester know one drawn game and that's probably it for them. we're just relentless, loving it. tomorrow is a huge test but feeling strangely confident. Just don't see us losing, said it before city and see no reason to change.

It's so hard to predict still. I just did one of the online predictors, and I was trying to be pessimistic about Spurs (I gave us a draw tomorrow night, losing to Liverpool and Chelsea, drawing with Man Utd and Stoke). Even then, with us getting 75 points, I still had us winning the league from Arsenal by a point.

But that was with us winning against them. Without wishing to get too OTT about it, that game on Saturday is absolutely fucking massive.

Yep, these next two are beyond huge. If we won them, and did the run in from a weeks time, we would have a 7 point lead, with gf, and to my mind 3 very tough games left. Stoke Liverpool and Chelsea away. Saying that, I don't think we can lose the title this week, but we can certainly make our chances so much stronger

I love the psycology behind these things, usually it's to see if we can sneak 4th but this year it's to sneak top which has the added glitter and pressure.

I love reading the insightful posts about the long game over the 11 to be played. Win where we are supposed to and we have a chance which takes the pressure off the ham and scum games. Taking the title glasses off we usually would be happy with 4 points here and take 3 (or even accept 2). Then pick up points in the other games.

However on the flip side the psychology plays a major role. each week it's about doing better or worse than those around. If everyone Wins on and Loses one this week we are in the same spot. If we draw both but Leicester and Arse win and lose one each we are a point behind which means we are still exactly in the hunt (same when you consider our goal difference would surpass Leicester). Then if we drop a few points back it's physiologically harder for us to claw back up even with more respectable fixtures.

For this reason I see Leicester falling away once they have been displaced. Fair play to them for not being displaced though. And this is where Arse could come through.

Appreciating the long and short aspects of the 11 games makes this so entertaining.

Kind of happy we're not yet top as it brings a load of pressure on you.

Leicester have a very nice two games this week whilst we have two very tough games. If we come out of this week no more than 4 points behind them, I'd make us favourites

The ones I listed before.

West Ham (a)(draw), Liverpool (a)(loss), United (h)(draw), Stoke (a)(draw), Chelsea(a)(loss).

Those to me look like the most obvious places we might lose points, so I predicted based on a bad few results, and still got us getting 75 points.

And before people accuse me of being pessimistic, I don't actually think we'll drop all of those points above, much as I also don't expect us to necessarily win every other game. Predicting the remaining results is fun, but ultimately this season completely pointless.

Why? Leicester have much easier run in, will only be 9 games left, and they will be 4 points ahead. That makes them very much favourites

I get the impression that if Leicester are still comfortably ahead with 3 games to go people will still think they aren't favourites. A lot of wishful thinking, bordering on denial going on in here if you ask me.

Way back at Xmas time everyone said they will crumble, but they are still here and winning plenty. They've had one last minute defeat and one scratchy win at the weekend. Other than that they are in excellent form.

Meanwhile, we are obviously in excellent form but have some very tricky games over the run in, with a EL campaign shoved in the middle.

At the end of the day everyone has to play everyone twice so as long as we win our easier fixtures Arsenal's easier run-in will be irrelevant.

This season now epitomises Bill Nicholsons's famous quote: 'It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.'

Let's do this for the great man.

I haven't told my girlfriend this as her ex had a gambling problem, but on Sunday I cleaned out my Bet365 account betting on Swansea to beat us (nothing huge - think I started the day with only about £40 in there).

Started with a little bet before kick-off, then another at half-time and then a 3rd right before Chadli equalised. I'm certain I'm a jinx when it comes to football betting.

So as West Ham are 3/1 to beat us tomorrow I thought I'd get in there early and try to repeat Sunday's trick. If we win every game between now and May then assume I'm skint for the summer!

Cech, Bellerin, Gabriel, Koscielny, Monreal, Ramsey, Coqulein, Ozil, Sanchez, Welbeck, Giroud

That will be the arsenal team and "the ox" (the most annoying player nickname in history) wouldn't be anywhere that team anyway even if fit
