We may go on to win the League, although my confidence has taken a dent after this week after all the hysteria, but it doesn't sit right thinking about winning the league after getting in front, at home against ten men, against your biggest rivals and throwing it away.

I just couldn't believe we didn't go for the throat when we got ahead, it was like we thought the job was done because they were down to ten men.

We get that third goal and the game was well and truly over. We still lack a ruthless streak - have to kick teams when they're down and we didn't.

Really, really need Watford to take something tonight now otherwise its going to be very difficult for us when you look at our away fixtures in the run in.

Fair result. With all the talk of missed opportunities, it's the NLD, so the current form of both sides is largely irrelevant as it's effectively a cup tie for bragging rights (regardless of league standings). If I took anything from the game, it's that maybe Kane is guilty of trying to win with shots and volleys from silly angles, rather than playing it to a teammate in a better position. I completely understand why he does it - we'd all want to be the hero in such a game - but in this case, unfortunately, it didn't come off (wonder goal notwithstanding). Great game. Feel a bit numb, though.

Sorry but, went ahead and stopped playing. Subs cost us.

Disappointing result but a) it's not the end of the world and b) our young players will learn from situations like this. It'll stand is in good stead for next year's title run-in.

Huh? Son was, unfortunately, a liability when he came on. Couldn't get near it and when he did he gave it away.

Mason coming on changed our shape, son for Lamela would have been like for like. The mason sub swung the game in their favour. Seriously need to stop giving mediocre players like him and Carroll wasted game time. Winks has much more potential then either of them two.

Disappointed we didn't win but not too downbeat because at least we are still 3 points above the shit with a better goal difference and only 2 behind Leicester who could well get beaten by Watford today.

Sorry but this week has not been good enough.

We wanted a test of our title credentials, this week was it. Two hard games, 1 point.

It was a mini test of what is to come because in April/May we have a run of 5 matches and they are all very hard.

Oh and look below us. United win this weekend and they will only 5 points behind. And they are fucking shocking. It really does make me wonder where we'd be this season if we could kill teams off.

Sorry but 2011/12 still haunts me. We surely can't let this slip now?
I personally think we have blown it, the players will be down now and they will know in their head if they can't beat a ten man Arsenal then the title is a pipedream.

Dembele was good for his first game back but was knackered come second half, we didn't keep any control of the ball once going 2-1 up which is ridiculous as we had 3 central midfielders on the pitch vs Arsenal's makeshift one.
Because we didn't keep our shape. Ran around like headless chooks and lets be honest. Eriksen and Alli are very weak defensively. All we had to do was keep a bank of 4 and a bank of 5 in midfield and 3 points would have been ours

it gonna be very tough for us to win the league anyway. Needed a won today. But problem is we still have to go to Chelsea and Liverpool. With Utd at home. I just hope we cam finish in top 3.
At least in 2 of those 3 games there won't be a big build up and they won't be billed as "biggest game ever". I think we got caught up in the occasion and started making mistakes once we went 2-1 up. I think these other games will have less pressure and less of a heated atmosphere so players should be able to stay more composed.

Hard not to be disappointed.

We never manage to put the final nail in their coffin. Ever.

We were very poor from the moment Kane scored.

Not bothered about Leicester right now. I'm bothered about grinding Arsenal into the absolute dust and gobbing on them as we walk away.

We've been close a few times past couple of years and it was right there again. You could feel it. And we fucked it.

Their goal absolutely knocked the stuffing out of players AND the fans. The fans didn't lift it at all any point after that.

exactly these.. come on, this derby is huge, FFS, we are 2nd on the table as title contender and they are fucking behind us with 3 points and piss poor goal difference.. what could be a better day and time than today to really roll them over with some WHL dirt pissing off and crying?? at that moment before the game was played, it was all about this match for this entire season with the circumstance above which we are in.. the lads actually should have no excuse to be this mediocre, even if they are not poor.. granted, great come back and fantastic goal from Kane, but right off the start, we seemed not that lifted to hit them with some early goals at all..

IMHO, this is really a cup final game we should win, just because they are the arse scums.. and if we won it, then let's swooned back with title dreams again.. but hell no, for a substantial portion of the game they got us worried instead that we could have lost, even for some fucking lady luck we had that they were a man down we still looked so worried we could lose...

Hate to use the word but this performance was unfortunately Spursy in nature. Utterly dominant for 40 minutes making Arse look like relegation fodder, but after being caught out by the first goal it's as though the players were reminded of their mortality. Seemed to be shitting themselves from that point on whenever Arse had a hold of the ball in our third, even with a man advantage.

I'd be surprised to not see Arsenal finish above us now as we've granted them back a sense of momentum and from April onwards they have a far more appetising set of fixtures than we do. Always felt we needed to open up the gap more before reaching that point - something I now doubt we will manage as the March time Bielsa fitness dip appears to have come upon us just as it did at this point last year. The sense of momentum and confidence we previously had may have helped us somehow power through but that is now gone.

Nevertheless I can at least say that this was the first performance all season that has disappointed me. West Ham was the first (and still only) game that we deserved to lose but I believe there were mitigating factors in that. No excuses for not winning this game.
