Dealing with pressure and title winning experience is an interesting point of discussion for the run in.

On the surface Arsenal should have advantage in both but how many league winners do they have? They should be able to handle the pressure of getting into the top four as nearly every one of their players has accomplished it. But winning it?

We don't have EPL winners and our kids are too inexperienced to say how they handle pressure. We will only know after this season.

So what of Leicester? A core of players who have won a league title together albeit the Championship. Are they under any more pressure now than when they were bottom of the league last year? Fighting for your future versus fighting for the title. Which one provides more real pressure?

I still think Man City will have some say in the title because they have the experience of coming from behind. Twice.

The real pressure is on Arsenal. Top four for us would be a great achievement. Finishing above Arsenal would be a massive bonus. Arsene Wenger and Arsenal would come in for serious criticism if Leicester and Spurs finish above them and one wins the league.

We can still win it of course but I think Leicester are playing with the attitude of a team without a care in the world.

It is going to be a fun run in. Nerve wracking for sure but better than fighting for a Europa Cup spot.

We need to get out of the Europa league asap because never mind the league, CL qualification could be in jeopardy! It can't be a coincidence that since the EL restarted we lost to Palace and Wham and just about got away with a win against Swansea after a terrific run in the preceding period. Looks like our young team may be struggling to maintain their form and intensity at the business end of what has been a long season and the EL games could be the final straw that you know what......

A really excellent post. There are two Spursbhoys: 67 was the better year.

Feels like a loss to be honest. I was very confident we'd smash them to bits before the game. When we were 2-1 up you have to see that game out. Sadly I think the players took their eye off the ball and thought the job was done. We were unlucky with their 2nd goal although Hugo should have done better and their keeper had his customary game of his life but we should have put that to bed.

Arsenal have west brom and everton in their next 2 games so not easy while we simply have to beat villa and bouremouth. Anything less than 6 points from those two and the title is completely gone
I think the title is gone now with Leicester 5 points clear it's theirs if they want it. I do think City could make a late run though. We just have to hold on to top 4.

Ok back from the game and surprisingly sanguine about the result.
First thing we got reminded is that Arsenal are a good side, not quite as good as us but they earned their draw painful as that is to say, I thought we had it at one point but in the end I'll settle for the draw.
Harry Kane's goal was at the other end but looked fantastic from where I was, can't wait to see it again.
I am also going big on the referee, Michael Oliver was first class today, unusual for me but I am serious, he let so much physical but not dirty stuff go and kept the game moving, deserves a big well done in my opinion
I thought the ref was good today also.

There are 9 games left... How is it gone?!

Don't be daft. Despite some tricky games against Spam, United, Everton, and Chelsea the odds of Leicester losing one and drawing one of their remaining 9 games, whilst not out-performing us in the other games, must be astronomical!

It really isn't gone. I don't really get how others have given up already. With the pressure, inexperience, and general lack of talent in key areas of their team, Leicester are more than capable of dropping 5 points more than us out of the next 27.

Someone other than Leicester will have a chance at this league on the last day and they will need points off of Chelsea trying to avoid total disaster. Before that they need points off of a pesky United, Wet Spam and bipolar Everton. We need points. Nine left get 20+ we can still win. Think we need 18 to be assured cl. I don't think we have to worry about the el after next week because I don't think our best effort beats Dortmund. If we can't beat Bournemouth and Villa we deserve nothing but ridicule.

On hindsight, Lamela should really stay on the field.. Even at the possibility that he could be off for a second yellow, at least we were still 10vs10.. But if he stays, I really don't think we would concede the 2nd but possibly scored a third as he is always one of the quickest and most intelligent in springing a counter.. It is really not a risk to play him till the end IMO when we were leading 2-1..

Sighz, an opportunity wasted...

Sunday morning now and still completely gutted
Yesterday felt like a loss to me and from the reactions after it did to the players as well.
Goonies all over celebrating even some singing in the street down here in there kit wtf is that all about ?
I'm not really much of a knee jerker to be honest but am slightly concerned that ,that is 2 chances to go top and twice it's been bottled.
Worried now that we despite the way it seemed a few weeks back are actually choking now.

Poch bottled it. Should have replaced Lamela for Son if he wanted a sub.

They don't need to go on a bad run, they literally only need to have 1 draw and 1 loss
Assuming we win every game?
I'm all for positive thinking, but we still have to play Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Do you think we will win all 3?

Possible, but unlikely, which means we then need Leicester to drop more points.

I'm sorry, but anything other than a Leicester collapse and I think it's going to be beyond us this season.

Still exciting though.

I agree, but we've still got the distraction of the Europa League to derail any hope of a strong league finish. I just hope the team can pick themselves up from this disappointing week and go on a winning streak again. Start putting away more of those chances etc. I don't think I could handle Spam finishing above us!

But you are assuming that we and everybody else will win their games but they aren't at the moment and Leicester are. So 5 points clear and 9 games to go they must be red hot to win the title.
