The Race to the Title

They might not lose the title, but consider this; Leicester have a team full of journeymen and players who've never been in title hunts managed by a guy who has never won a major league title. They don't have any previous experience to call on to try and calm everything down, you could see their inexperience when they thought they'd won the title last weekend. Every single dropped point will affect them deeply, every little knock, every booking, everything will add to the nerves and anxiousness.

Will Ranieri be able to get them back where they were before mentally? Very unlikely, who do they have in the team that can steward them properly? They don't have a John Terry type, whilst a giant prick, knows what it takes to win. Mentally they've already believed the title race was over, and cracks are now appearing.

Chances are we'll see even rasher challenges, Huth and Morgan will be even worse during corners and players will swarm and mouth off to the ref after every single perceived injustice. If they weren't so far ahead pointswise I would much rather be a Spurs player right now, there's nothing to worry about, they know their task, hunt down the foxes, there's nothing to lose.

I haven't heard him moaning this much since Cryuff stuck him out on the right wing for Barcelona.

I didn't think you could rescind a yellow card anyway

You can't and if they did, the precedent would cause a giant shitstorm, every team would appeal bookings after every game.

Said something very similar a couple of weeks ago about them being journeymen. They didn't all end up at Leicester because of winning attitudes.

Ranieri has certainly done an incredible job getting them to work as a unit, but with most of the country believing the Leicester fairytale is a foregone conclusion, there's bound to be a lot of pressure on them not to blow it. They look nervy, and certainly not as fit as they have done.

Of course the best thing we can do is keep on winning. They probably thought we'd drop points against United, but instead we wiped the floor with them (at least in the second half). If we drop points tonight they'll be breathing a little easier, and the momentum will be back with them.

Anybody getting at lineker should calm down. This is his genuine boyhood team who he knows will never get a better chance to make history.

He's been championing and defending us for years in the face of the sky 4 love in.

He's alright in my book!

Also, their park the bus and counter tactics might get thrown out the window if we get within 2 points of them with games left, then they might have serious problems.

I don't think he should bother using soclal media reacting to things like this, especially when its so obvious that Vardy deserves the charge.

Private opinion fine, but better off swerving going public.

But yeah agree, he certainly has stuck up for us over the years.

just watching the build up on sky, and when asked about who he thinks will win the league, Fabregas said Leicester, when asked if he thinks if there will be anymore twist and turns he said, hope not I don't want Spurs to win the league. I wonder who will be trying harder in 1 game more than another

Yeah I wouldn't expect anything less from a former Arsenal player.

oh I expected it, but the way he said it. Chelsea's main player in their recovery. to go with that article Terry wanting Leicester to win the league a few weeks back, perhaps those (me included) worrying about Chelsea's final performance might have reason too.

hopefully we win all ours and hope they do drop the 4pts that we need them too before the final game

5 points is still a huge gap at this stage of the season. At least we are fighting till the end. Would love nothing more than Swansea to beat Leicester next game.
