This may have been a lot of people's first time seeing him - it's very clear that he's not the finished product. He has a ton of pace, strength, and that unteachable ability to turn and make something out of nothing.. But he's far from a great striker as of yet.

Not sure about the £30m price tag that's been rumoured but it remains to be seen. I just wonder how much game time (which he clearly needs more of) he'd get here with such an established system and striker ahead of him in Kane.

If you know anything about French football, nothing is a surprise from tonight. Bats plays for a fairly shit team but could be better in a less shit team. That is why we are in pole position to sign him.

Just saw from a local journo quotes from Michy that contrast the ITK we've heard.

"Many people advise me to leave because we had a rotten season, but that's to easy. I'm in love with this club" also that his decision to leave or not will depend on developments at the club.

he seems pretty keen to stay, although open for a move. But the ITK suggesting it's close seems a bit off for me

Marseille need to sell him though. They're in dire financial straits.

Berahino it is then?

Yes, I'm sure Daniel is looking forward to dealing with that obnoxious c**t Jeremy Peace all summer long again.

Really, we must have better players to spend our time chasing and from far better club chairmen and presidents. He is poison.

From the reports above he seems like a perfect replacement for Clinton, if (as we are all fearing) someone comes in with a mega bucks offer

IIRC we don't seem to get too many tap in goals, it's what we have been lacking!

When people have their heart set on someone it always makes me chuckle how they can find something, however weak to make a case for him.

I don't have my heart set on anyone specific, I don't watch much footie these days to be able to comment objectively. I just someone who will challenge Harry and maybe bring something different so that they could also form a good partnership as well. It just seems to me that a lot of Harry's goals are from some distance and all too often when someone gets around the opposing full backs there is no-one in the box to either challenge in the air or getting in for a rebound. We don't seem to have anyone other than H who will go in where the boots are flying, and if it's him that providing the chance there isn't anyone else to pick up the pieces. If Batshuayi can do that then great. If not let's find someone who can.
