When it comes to Mason and Chadli - I think we are going to see Poch play a very small club across all competitions this year. Mason and Chadli were not in that picture for better or worse. I think we will be in the hunt for a trophy though - hope its the FA cup and not the league cup

hertyid on sisoko: Apparently after out initial enquiry it was a case of "30m? No thanks."

We definitely didn't bid anywhere near that amount.

Delighted. Would have been fuming at news we'd signed him for more than a used bag of quavers.

This was our one opportunity to attract players with the champions league football. We can't even do that. It's all about the money and levy just won't pay it.

Apparently, Sissoko is at a Paris airport. Maybe he was trying for PSG, either way he will have to get to the UK smartish for a medical, assuming that is a pre-requisite to being signed.

We offered £25m according to Talkshite.

you can sign a player subject to a medical. They would just need to get the paperwork over to the FA and could do the medical in the next few days

What about winks? He was in people's starting X11 vs Everton!

For me Winks takes Carroll's place and will only see cup games, occasional Prem minutes, or provide cover in a genuine injury crisis.
I am quite surprised Tom hasn't moved on.

in all honesty we talk about bringing in our youth but besides Winks who would you even consider giving game time to? Onomah as much as I love him is very raw, and CCV i'd consider to give some time to. But c'mon we are in 4 competitions, 1 being the CL and the other being a league we are trying to win (well I thought we would try to)

So after being so close in an actual real legitimate title race in the EPL, finishing 3rd and guaranteeing CL football... to consolidate our position we sign.... ummm, well, ummm... that bloke that couldnt get a game at southampton and some kid who looked good that one season in the dutch league. hmmmmm.... Hope you know what you're doing Levy

Murphy on Radio 5: "if I was a Spurs fan, I'd be really disappointed. If you're not going to sign quantity, you want one or two that will come in and absolutely improve the quality of the first 11, I.e. better than what they've got. The signings so far are decent replacements, but not better."

(Slightly paraphrased)

Can't say I disagree.

We are clearly happy to coast until the new stadium is paid for. CL is a nice little run out rather than a platform to try to consolidate out postion. Just hope Poch and our best players will be happy to coast along too.

A bit disheartening if you ask me, but on the bright side in the stadium thread there's a picture of some concrete being poured ;).

I would be totally happy with this window... had we not kicked away both Chadli and Mason. WTF Levy/Poch, was sure you were smarter than that.
