So basically, Everton have stumped up the cash - we haven't and probably don't intend to, therefore we are relying on him rejecting them and hoping Newcastle end up accepting our lower offer. Doubtful.

I will continue reiterating my previous post not strengthened out first 11 is a huge mistake. All successful clubs each year tweak 1 or 2 first 11 players. Those people that reference last season and being without a striker this was a one off. Look how many challengers were is disarray. Utd, City, L'Pool and Chelsea. Not this season if anyone truly believes we are top 4 material are delluded.

Because you turned out to be wrong and that can't possibly happen again right?

Danny Murphy summed it upon perfectly along these lines, "As a Spurs supporter I am disappointed in the signings overall. Can you say anyone we signed can challenge any of the established first 11? No you can't. We need someone like Mane, the right age and proven. He drives Liverpool. Would he be a starter for us? Yes. We have not taken advantage. Comparing to the teams around us, they have increased in quality leaps and bounds. We haven't. He went on to say he is not convinced in Janssen, and whilst Wanyama is a good signing and was needed, we have not addressed with that special Mane-type player".

I agree with him.

Poch said we needed someone like Mane.

For the money we're allegedly offering for Sissoko, we could have just signed Mane.

Our transfer strategy is so amateur compared to how every other aspect of the club is run. Hugely frustrating.

Moussa Sissoko is turning into a saga. Newcastle have formally accepted an offer from Everton but no terms have been agreed with the player and Spurs are still interested.

It may come down to where the player prefers, Goodison Park or White Hart Lane. This is not finished with yet.
it won't come down to where the player prefers if we refuse to match the price the fat controller has put on sissoko's head.
if newCastle really believe he is worth 30m+ then I'm sure the fsw will be happy to keep him to secure promotion. I don't see their reason to cash in on him at a lower price. For Sissoko he is still in the French squad even though he's paying in the championship and if he snubs the toffees then he'll have to lump it.

I'm pretty sure at the start of the window it was 3 incoming. Including Pau it's 4. Why are we surprised?

I would hope DL might have asked MP if MS was worth £30m. If he'd said yes I'd have been more worried about the manager than the chairman.

So many pathetic posts in here. Keeps me amused anyway. Shame we can't sell some of our fans in the window. I'm sure there's a lot of trolling going on because surely there can't be this many idiots in one place.
