There was a time when the Goons used their new stadium as the reason they wouldn't spend on players. They still don't spend.. Its all about revenue and income and not ambition. We will be no different, we'll have a brand new stadium and still have transfer windows like this. I can't forsee any improvement apart from our bank balance because our owner is following their model.
I think its a tragedy that he hasn't backed Poch after what he achieved with the team last season and I really worry about us if we get one injury.
42m Ozil, 32m Sanchez, 35m Xhaka, 35m Mustafi...

Arsenal have started spending over the past three years. All those fees significantly above our record of 26.

because he couldn't find his cock with both hands in his pants? Or did we not take his amazing advice to buy the unknown sissoko, zaha and isco?
I very much doubt there his choice of players. He may still be at the club but I can bet he has no say in who we should buy after he decided to leave

A that

B that they all would have improved our squad and signed for teams that finished below us in the league. Boufal in particular annoys me. Surely we have let ourselves down. We are short an attacking player and there are many that were gettable and if we couldn't get them, why not keep Chadli?
13 million reasons.

But thats why we hired poch because he accepts the club policy that levy sold him, if we had a manager that kicked off over not getting players in then he would not last long.

Happy clappers are out in full force I see.

Doesn't mean you're less of a fan if you criticise this window, it's okay... You're allowed to.

We are light in key positions and haven't capitalised on achieving CL football.

Theve just not bought in the right position, not player. Theve spent nearly 100 million this window

I'm looking forward to seeing GKN debut and hopefully our young guns stepping up. Massive opportunity for them. They must be loving this window. Can only be a good thing, the impact of which should not be underestimated.

December I reckon.

We are still trying for Sissoko. 6 hours ago he was free to sign for Everton. It appears we are going to increase our bid to get him.

The bottom line is we have weakened the squad. The reason that players like that fancy Liverpool or Chelsea over us is that those clubs spend money and we don't. I would be less pissed off if we had not sold both Chadli and Mason without replacement. The fact that we have shows that we have weakened the squad for no good reason. I don't think that is really a matter for debate.

They pay more money in wages because they turn over 50% more than us because, like it or not, they are bigger clubs than us.
A player faced with earning £60,000 a week or £90,000 a week (or more) will obviously go for the higher wage. We gave Willian a shot last year and Batshuyai a go this year but we aren't big enough to compete with Chelsea.
Levy didn't come up with some bizarre conspiracy plan to ensure we didn't sign them, they just chose the better job.

As far as selling Chadli and Mason are concerned we bought in Wanyama, Janssen, and GKN as bench options whilst promoting Onomah over Mason, not to mention Son has had a season's experience of the Prem now.
If Chadli and Mason were world beaters then fair enough but everyone seemed to agree last season they were not of the required quality so now the manager has agreed with that I don't see how we are being particularly weakened.

And not one First XI player signed all window. The lack of signings I'm almost ok with, it's the outgoings with no replacements that have made me angry.
Please tell us which one of

Lloris
Walker
Alderweireld
Vertonghen
Rose
Dier
Dembele
Lamela
Ali
Eriksen
Kane

You wanted to upgrade this summer?

Our first XI is stronger than last year. Just by fact of it being a year older having played together.

Seeing the bigger picture is not the same as being a happy clapper.

I actually think Sissoko has done medical / agreed terms with Spurs, just down to us to agree fee with Newcastle. If we want him I think he comes to us
I don't think he wants to go to Everton. Do Newcastle take less a fee or leave him in squad
