If his only problem is a cricket one we should have signed him.

:p

would say English isn't my 1st language, but i don't lie, i'm just shit at spelling, though I have learnt how to spell Alli (bastard wants to be known as Dele) and Eriksen

This is great news tbh. Sissoko is a fast and direct tank. We need someone like that. The clogger teams won't have a chance against Wanyama, Dembele and Sissoko in the midfield. He will also quickly get the ball up to the likes of Eriksen and Dele to hurt the opposition while there is still space.

Why the fuck is anyone paying attention to ALi Z?

And how the feck does ben know what weve offered for Sissoko? How can he be so exact when weve only been interested for 24 hrs.

He was 100% right though wasn't he?

People are actually complaining that we've spent £30m on a player the manager asked for. Why is that? Is it because he's not the player you wanted us to sign? Well I hate to break it to you but Daniel Levy doesn't give a fuck about who you want. He has backed our manager and that's all that matters. So go play FIFA and sign whoever you want and let the grown ups handle our club.

Controversial opinion alert, but for all those complaining we didn't sign the missing piece of the puzzle in Isco or Coric, I don't think either would have made much of an impact this season. Coric would be down in the pecking order. And I don't think Isco would walk into the team immediately and would struggle initially with the pace and power in the PL plus Poch's methods.

I'm not sure how far back it really goes. Considering we've had great success winning trophies in the past I don't know if it was like this back then. I can just imagine people complaining back in the day about how Bill Nic didn't get any backing in the transfer window. If MacKay or Blanchflower get injured we're fucked. Or our squad of 17 players is far too small to win anything.

I'm still gutted we didn't pull out all the stops to get bobby moore and i wasn't born till 78.

Is this something that is deep rooted within our fans? When did it come about?

I don't know when it started, I have an uncle who is in his 90's, he and his friend started to go to watch Spurs as kids before WW2, and like many in those days they would go to WHL one week and to watch the other North London Team (as my Dad used to refer to them) the next. He always says he preferred to watch Spurs play as he liked their style, particularly that of the Push and Run side of the 1950s.

However, he says that he would not like to be classed as a Spurs fan because for as long as he can remember we have been a bunch of moaning *****. (his words not mine (y))

Agree with you regarding the emphasis on power. Not a big fan of our style of football. Very functional and downright dull a lot of the time.

It can be but when we get the balance right between solidity and fluidity it can be extremely effective. I too would like a less functional style of play but I would rather be how we are, solid, not conceding much but still having the ability to produce good football even if just periodically than like Liverpool, exciting going forward but conceding a fuck load of goals.

Its all about the statement of intent.

If net spend was zero every year, and there were 10 clubs that made money from signings, and there were not millions extra in Tv money every year, and we were not one of the most expensive places to watch football in the WORLD, the Op would have a point.

But we are bottom pf the table for 7 years running in tfr spend, and we ARE one the most expensive tickets in the world, and we DO have millions extra every year from TV, and our wage bill has DECREASED.

They are taking the piss.

Sissokho, Another huffer and puffer. Will tear his way up the wing, skip 3 tackles and cross it into the 8th row, all day long. If that is our statement signing after getting into the CL groups then my ticket will be up for grabs.

Can I have your ticket please? Is it in the 8th row?

Spurs fan just on Talksport moaning about our terrible window and how we haven't improved the squad at all and have bought nothing different.
You are never going to satisfy someone like that but I can't help thinking, if we have bought no one different, who that we already have is the same as Wanyama, as Jansen, as Sissoko and as Nkoudou?

Sounds like that fan based his entire opinion of the window on what Murphy said about our transfer business :p

I guess most fans that phone into TalkSport this time of the day don't have a day job to go to. I'm not surprised.

I was moaning till yesterday's am signings, because Poch showed yet again against Liverpool he didn't trust anyone beyond those who were out there having a collective off day. It made me wonder why we bought Son and Njie in the first place. Not far from shambolic really.

I've certainly stopped now because the Sissoko signing in particular was clearly not the type of deal Levy wants to do, even if we will only end up paying around 20m. But he did it to preserve his relationship with Poch.

We now have pace and power options in the am department, and should be able to mix things up without taking too many risks of performance dropping off.

Far to many people seeking self gratification nowadays. Always wanting everything they want now and not willing to wait or work for it.

Is this something that is deep rooted within our fans? When did it come about? I know we've had plenty of false dawns over the years but we've also had some wonderful achievements as well. We're no longer stuck in mid table and continue to finish in the top 6 even though we're not mega rich and the league is tougher than ever.

Are we ever going to believe in this club again? It just seems that every season I read nothing but negativity from our fans. We've finally got a great manager who is young and still improving. The best academy set up we've ever had. The best training facilities for them to work on and a new state of the stadium on the way. Our team (with the youngest average age) last season finished in our highest ever position. We have Champions League football for only the second time. Yet still there is more negative talk about the club.

I think the transfer window brings the absolute worst of it from the fans. It's like a bunch of petulant kids crying over what presents they wanted for Christmas and didn't get. It seems many of our fans have an agenda. If you post something positive about being happy with the work we've done in the window people disagree. Why? Because I'm being optimistic about the club I love? Fuck you. I believe in this club. Regardless of what squad we have come 11pm tonight I will be behind them. I couldn't give a shit about players who play at other clubs that we may have been linked with. The only players that matter are the ones that represent the club.

You get people complaining about selling players who they also moan about in the match threads. Mason is shit one minute and then hang on why have sold him? People are too obsessed with what we could have they overlook what we actually do have. This is the best position the club has been in since the Premier League era started. Sorry if it sounds like I'm writing with a judgemental tone because that's not really my intension. I just wish this place was a lot more positive considering what a great club this is.

Judge away old son, you highlight the difference between a Supporter and a fan.

Just a shame it will fall on deaf ears with the fucktards.
