Regarding Grey Fox's ITK I wonder if one of the young players we might be looking at on a buy and loan back basis might be Leicester's Ben Chilwell as a possible Davies replacement next season. He impresses me more each time I see him; great pace, works hard and can actually cross the ball. Given Rose's injury and disciplinary record I see LB as one of the few positions where we could really use an upgrade as back up. No hate for Davies (he's a solid reserve) but there is a big drop off in our attacking threat when Rose is out and Chilwell is a very similar player to Rose.

I think if we got Isco we would maybe revert back to a 4231 or a 4141 more regularly. I can also see Eriksen being played deeper, in the dembele role, alongside Vic. The one thing Isco can do that none of our current crop of AM's does regularly is take on players. He is a very good dribbler and that is something we have been lacking. We have a fantastic squad but Isco would be a fantastic addition. As others have said, if we got Isco he would not be on our bench. I also don't think we would sell Lamela as he is a very different player to Isco, Eriksen and Alli so I can't see how it would effect his status in our squad. We play enough games each season that we would count on all our players enough to warrant having them.

Have we got 100 mill to spend? To improve our current first X11 you are bordering on world class players

Absolutely, hence the debate on Isco who would probably cost 40 million.

Would we go that high, maybe for a player Poch has had a fancy for a while. Can't imagine we would do anything else a good while after.

I don't expect us to spend that kind of money in this window but after reading that ITK, I have a gut feeling that the two players in question would not cost us more than £70m in transfer fees. The original point I was making was that I would not be able to contain my excitement if we were to sign two players who could improve our first eleven (or even our core of, say, 14).

Trouble is that even if we did make an offer on that scale, Chelsea would offer £150,000 a week from their Chinese money.

But we probably wouldn't need anybody else. He would pretty much complete the set for the rest of this season. Someone posted earlier that getting Isco enhances our tactical flexibility in the same way that Wanyama has. Align this with his genuine attacking quality and we would have a seriously lethal, adaptable and unpredictable squad that will cause any team problems.
I think I just dribbled

Sorry to be the negative one, but there is absolutely zero chance of Isco or anyone in my opinion this Jan, the info from Grey Fox is great and a boost as I truly believe another striker/pacey winger will guarantee us top 4 if not title/fa cup - still think we are putting too much risk on Kane, those who have forgot the start of the season when Kane was injured clearly have short memories and if it wasn't for that we would be top now.... this is what we are lacking and there are players out there

If we signed 2 first team players, you have my word I will donate £30 to SC.... would love to be wrong but just don't see us doing any incoming business sadly and I guarantee before the end of the season we hear Poch talk about the squad depth

Sissoko would bulldoze Zaha.

Which of Son's teams were better than Man Utd? Zaha was a complete flop for the reigning PL champions whilst Son was a star player for a second rate German team.

Zaha was very young at Man U and hardly played for them
