Masters this week, can't wait. Rose is great value e/w 25/1 with PP paying 8 places.
I've put 20 e/w. Who's everyone backing?

I've backed DJ at 15/2
Jon Rahm at 22/1
Casey at 35/1
Louis Oostuizen at 55/1 and
Tyrell Hatton at 66/1.

All e/w.

Very interested to see how Rahm gets on. Amazing young talent but rookies tend to struggle at Augusta. Louis is a decent bet the other 2 I wouldn't back.

I've never back Westwood, don't think he'll win a major. Great odds on Day if his head is right.
You're possibly right but at 1/4 the odds an each way bet on Westwood to finish in the top 8 isn't the worst bet in the world.

I'm each way on Stenson, Watson, Rose, Westwood, Day and Kuchar.

Paddy are paying top 8 e/w and Westwood has had a couple of decent finishes over recent years, he definitely won't win it that's for sure!

Sure I saw a RAB of Cause of Causes to place in the National and Dustin Johnson to place at 7/1 which seemed pretty good to me.

As for the Masters outright, whilst DJ is the obvious candidate, I personally like Matsuyama at 20's (Skybet) and for an outsider, maybe Ross Fisher or Cabrera Bello at 125's.

Dustin Johnson has withdrawn with an injury. Didn't quite hear what they said but I think they said he fell down the stairs this morning.

Did it last night (see a few posts above yours). Gutted for him but money back on my bet on him at least. Wondering what to do with that now. Back Spieth or Rory or no-one at all (already on Rose and Fowler who have started nicely).

Whoops. Had a quick skim of the page but somehow missed it. Really unfortunate for him with the forms he's in.

Me too. I feared he'd tee off and then withdraw.

Got my £20 back and I've stuck a fiver e/w on Mickelson at 14s. He'll probably chuck in an appalling front or back 9 somewhere, but he's won me money before and he knows Augusta like the back of his hand.

Just need to decide what to do with the other £10 now.

Yeah, Mickelson's not a bad shout. I stuck half of mine on Rory and half on Spieth. Not looking good right now but there's a lot of luck involved when it's playing like this so I reckon/hope their class will shine through as the course gets easier. Rory really is scrambling round the place at the moment though.

I have no interest in golf but i just put £20 on an offer paddy power were doing, with McElroy and Reed winning their 1st round 3 balls.

Can someone explain what 3 balls is, when it's happening and if that's a good bet or not. Ta

Each player goes round the course in a group of three. Essentially they're not really playing each other, they're playing against the whole field but bookies being bookies want to offer as many markets as possible, so offer you the chance bet on who's going to get the best score out of those 3. You've bet on both Rory and Reed to get a better score than their two playing partners. As to whether it's a good bet or not, well that depends on the odds you got. It's already happened and I suspect it didn't come in with Pat Reed finishing on +4.

Can't believe Hoffman's round of 65 in those conditions. He was about 30/1 when he was -3. Now he's just 6/1.
