There's a lot of these sort of people in manual industries - builders/sparky's/plumbers etc - no offence to anyone on here in those professions but you don't get these sorts of blokes working in an office. They can act like boorish pricks with their mates all day at work in these industries so they see nothing wrong with doing it in public too.
Mate, thats quite possibly the most dumb fkin statement I've ever read on SC and frankly it is offensive.
Shame because that was a good post until you came out with that blinkered insight.
Because you have a manual job doesn't mean you're not bright enough to work in an office and are a knuckle dragging moron.
I've left the office after 10years and gone back on the tools because I prefer it and it pays better.
Some office work is low paid remedial work the same as a manual labourer and requires very little skill or knowledge.
Unless your a manager in an office some of the wages are shit compared to a skilled tradesman.
Can't believe you actually think there are no football hooligans that work in an office lol.
You must live in a bubble.
As someone mentioned most of the old firm hooligans did work in a office. Probably because the manual workers were too thick to organise anything lol.

Why do so many fucking dimwits follow football? Even if the guy was a Chelsea fan, he doesn't deserve to be attacked - how is that difficult to comprehend? Hopefully he gets caught soon and never manages to reproduce.

Knowing our society he reproduced at 14-15 ... the cycle continues

He was generalising rightly or wrongly .... what is ironic tho is how you go on to do the same thing straight away

I went on a night out with a few mates some months ago, and the guy who organised it decided he'd invite three of his mates from work. They were all West Ham, and were just complete meathead scumbags. Constantly shouting and swearing, bellowing offensive bollocks out to no-one in particular. It was all I could do to ignore them and talk to a couple of my mates, most of the conversation being about why the hell did Nick invite these total pricks along.

We were walking from one pub to another, and one of these pricks just randomly started shouting at some bloke across the street. Just shouting "Oi you ****, what are you looking at? You want some you ****?" etc. This other guy had no idea what was going on and quickly walked off, at which point the shouty prick turned to his two giggling twat mates and laughed saying "Made him shit himself!" like he'd just won a fucking Olympic medal or something. The rest of the walk was filled with them shouting random slogans and football chants out on the way.

I probably should've said something but I didn't feel it was my place since these guys were invited by my mate (who strangely is one of the nicest guys in the world and I have no idea how he could be mates with these people), and frankly I didn't want them to kick off at me which it looked like they could do to anyone at any time.

Once we got to the next pub I could only give it another 20 minutes before I just said I had to go, pretended I had a call from the wife, and a couple of other guys came with me knowing full well why I was leaving. We actually stayed out and went somewhere completely different but we just couldn't stand being around dickheads like that any more.

The fact that they were West Ham obviously didn't do them any favours in life, but these three were genuinely just total dickheads, whose idea of a good night out was to shout as loudly and aggressively as possible at all times and randomly offer people out in the street for no reason. Ironically I spoke to the mate who invited them the next day and politely told him I wouldn't be coming out with those guys again, and he said that not long after we'd left all three of them had drunk themselves into a stupor after about 5 pints and had to go home at bloody 9:30pm when one of them was really ill. So it turns out they were lightweights as well.

The worst thing? These guys were aged 26, 38 and I think the oldest was 42. And yet their Saturday night plan was to act like teenagers. It just shows that age means nothing when you're a total twat.

It just shows there really is a huge amount of total dickheads out there, and lots of them follow football. There's a lot of these sort of people in manual industries - builders/sparky's/plumbers etc - no offence to anyone on here in those professions but you don't get these sorts of blokes working in an office. Presumably the three Hammers were tolerable when sober. There's a complex link between booze and arseholery, and it's cultural as much as it's pharmapsychological: people act according to expectations of how one should behave when pissed, and the bugger is that those expectations vary much more according to subculture than the norms for sobriety.

Anyway, the people involved should be deported to the colonies.

So u think they already know who it is?

They certainly know the vast majority of the hooligan element from every club, so that's a fair assumption, provided the CCTV was working and good quality. My guess, and hope, would be an arrest within a week.

That said I retired 16 years ago so things may have changed as regards arrest procedures etc.

That's fair enough, I found it a bit surprising that there was no pictures released considering that is literally bang outside the stadium.
As you say though, hope they know who it is and bang them up.

Strong contender for Most Middle Class Post of the Year.

This, back in the 70's and 80's when there were lots of organised arrests of identified hooligans, a surprising number were office wallahs, including solicitors, accountants etc., people you expect to be better educated and, therefore, more intelligent ....! Maybe they were the exceptions to the rule, but I doubt it.

Why do people feel the need to do this shit.
Me and a Spurs supporting mate went to a sports bar in Victoria to watch the semi final. We ended up sitting with 2 random blokes who support chelski and the 4 of us ended up out on the piss in Shoreditch after the game.

Can't people just be normal human beings whilst supporting different sports teams?

One of the guys from the Football Factory was a florist iirc.

Disgusting.

I would be suprised if the bloke was a hooligan. Well, in with the main lot etc. Probably just a young kid who's had to much Charlie and felt the badge on his arm gave him super powers.

Hope he gets a shoeing...or nicked...or both.

Barely, as soon as they got on the booze they were "on it", shouting and acting like twats before it even reached their bloodstream.

Nothing to do with intelligence.

Nothing to do with income either.

All to do with the working environment and what you can get away with, what's regarded as normal and acceptable behaviour both in the workplace and in your peer group. You can shout and swear and wolf whistle etc on a lot of building sites - you can't in an office. I should know, I worked on three building sites in two years and also worked for a contractor for Network Rail doing signal box work and it was the same everywhere. Shouting, swearing, being basically a "lout" is par for the course in lots of manual industries. Not in offices.

At least two thirds of my mates are blokes like that. They're just not ****s like these West Ham dickheads were. The mate who invited them I've known for over 15 years, is a from a traveller family and works on major industrial jobs at Heathrow. His dad "deals in cars" if you know what I mean. I don't live in a bubble (and I'm sure as hell not middle class ).

I never said that there were no football hooligans who worked in offices. Half the Chelsea scum army are bankers, solicitors and traders in the City. But it's a small group and mostly confined to that one club.

Basically you've got pretty much everything I said wrong. No worries.

Every club has it's idiots.

Many years back when we qualified for Europa, and we were off to play Chisenau (?) I was a flight dispatcher at Gatwick. and picked up one of our charters early morning.
It was an "off stand departure", so everyone was coached out to the aircraft. On arrival, the cabin crew were still preparing the cabin when the first coach load of our fans pulled up alongside. I had the job of asking the driver to keep the doors closed until ready, which he promptly failed to do, so I had to single handedly usher all our boys back onto the coach.

I was quite clearly displaying a Spurs badge on my uniform jacket, and thought I was "well in " with this lot. But no.
Two particularly obnoxious twats decided to give it the billy big bollox and demanded to board the aircraft, even though it was still being prepped.

Despite my patience, and even saying to them, look I'm Spurs too, don't be an arse, they proceeded to threaten to "rip my head off" and other such niceties. Absolute wankers the pair of them.

Left a really nasty taste, even though I was used to being in the mix of everything 80's related.

On the opposite side of things, as we left Wembley saturday and made our way to Wembley park, we got stopped just short of the station by the crowd control people. It was nearly all Spurs, and we were still singing a bit in defiance, but some young (20's) new Chelsea fan, in the midst of a very disappointed Spurs mob, actually managed to give it "Spurs are just a Championship team". Now, surely, in that environment, the obvious thing to do is shut up and keep your head down?
Obviously, not, and he was then confronted by a very angry old school Spurs boy who had him by the throat very quickly and but for the Old Bill presence, i hate to think what may have gone down.

As for the subject of this thread, I wonder what it was, if anything, that made this moron think he was "doing" a Chelsea fan?

Hard to say, but sadly, they walk among us.

Must have been nearby, I was next to the old spurs boy when this happened. The youngster nearly got his head ripped off, and I gunk it stared by jumping the quew to get to the station. Silly.

I was right next to them with my two sons. Very stupid doing/saying what he did.
