People talking about this United team winning trophies but the commentator said they have spent over 400 million in the last 3 years, then think of the wages as well...

That's true but if we're buying any players we shouldn't do it on the basis of one game.

Second half went much like the first, with the early goal the killer. There is a lot to admire about Ajax and the way they stick to their principles and style of play, and there was only one team trying to play positive, proactive football. However they just didn't have the quality and firepower to really hurt Utd and weren't able to play with precision at tempo often enough.
As for United, I'm sure their fans wont care tonight after picking up the trophy, and that shouldn't be sniffed at getting the job done, but is this really what they have been reduced to..... Sitting back, offering fuck all to a game of football, and scraping through games? Sad if so.
