Is it just me or are they this seasons, last seasons West Ham (if that makes sense). With this farcical Mbappe bid, all they've done is disclosed at least a massive part of their budget to any selling club.

They won't be able to outspend Real Madrid, and wont sign him (although if they spanked their entire budget on him I wouldn't mind. They've got bigger problems).

If they move on to Lacazette for example, if I were the lyon chairman I'd immediately ask for £90m+. They ain't getting anyone at a fair price now

Rafa Honigstein raised doubts about where he'd fit in a 3-4-3, saying he's much more the Corluka school of defensive full-back so unlikely to be used on the flank. Could possibly work as the left of the three.

Hopefully he's as good a centre back as Corluka then!

I liked him as a fullback but Corluka always looked woefully out of his depth at centre back. I always thought it strange Croatia played him there.

Whilst this would cement City's place as strong favourites for the title next season, I think it would also rule Arsenal out of the race unless Wenger pulls an absolute gem out of the bag. Even if he does somehow get Lacazette or Mbappe, I'd imagine they'd need a season or two before they're really good enough to replace him.
