I've been told Barkley is all agreed, personal terms and fee with Everton. However his head has been turned by all the new signings at Everton and being an Everton lad he is still in 2 minds whether to stay or go.

Don't be shocked to see Bale back at Spurs next season, lets just say the ball is in our court and if Levy wanted to make a statement this would be the deal to show intent.

Southampton have offered £21M for Wimmer.

Janssen has been asked by the club to stay but is becoming frustrated as he knows the club are still actively looking for another striker/attacker.

City may still be interested in Walker but no interest has been shown since Pep watched Walker play for England. Walker hasn't asked to leave but has asked Levy for more money. Surprisingly Levy has agreed but Poch has said NO WAY! He's starting to see Walker as a bad apple and doesn't want him paid anymore than he's currently earning.

Lastly when Poch signed his last contract Levy put a £40m buyout clause. He has a gentleman's agreement with Levy if Madird come calling once his contract has expired he will be off, if not he'll sign another contract with Spurs.

Completely understand Barkley and his indecision tbh. Probably shouldnt have acted the big un originally though.

Don't know if Bale would be a sensible signing - but fuck, it would be exciting (until he got injured...). Also no way Levy puts the money up!

Take the 21 Million.

Promising news that we are looking for another back up to Kane. Can understand Janssens attitude. Probably doesn'tr know where he stands.

That goes against the Levy narrative, but fits in with what we know about Poch. Personally think he's off. It would take a lot of effort for Walker to prove to Poch that he wants to play for Spurs (if he does...)

That's sort of understandable/reasonable - and his position at Spurs probably more solid than I hoped.

This is stunning ITK update IMO.
Not sure where to start....

Barkley - He could be a Everton lad, fact is Koeman doesnt want him & both have had so much friction of late. I can't see Koeman taking him in even If Barkley wants to stay. I would put my money on Barkley to come to us.

Wimmer - 21m by Soton ??o_O
If they did value him that much , 2 things for sure
a) VVD is leaving to a top PL club
b) Our interest in Mawson has some legs.

Levy putting a buyout clause ? Not so sure. If Wimmer is 21m, then Levy better start rewriting that buyout clause to 140m.

Now coming to Bale - Levy to sign him for 80m & give a 275k a week ??? :cautious::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Breezer, I am going to flat-out disregard your command to not be shocked if Bale is at Spurs next season. You're not telling me what I will and won't be shocked by!

:D

(And for what it's worth, I will be shocked - nay, flabbergasted! - if Bale is at Spurs next season for any other reason than we happen to be playing a match against whichever club he's signed to for next year.)

Got to say I seem to recall A&C saying much the same sort of thing for a couple of weeks. Now the Goat also being told the same thing.

Brilliant Breeze. Thanks very much for some player related news and something to talk about that may not indirectly result in personal injury and humiliation.

The Goat says Poch is unhappy; Ben says Poch is very happy.

If some signings have got away from us, but generally things are going pretty well, then I'd expect him to be sometimes happy and sometimes not. That's life. Doesn't mean he's about to walk.

Clearly bringing Bale back is a massive long shot and highly unlikely but Breezer has made the point that the deal is there to be done if he wants to do it. Obviously it wouldn't be cheap but I'm sure there are ways and means to make it work if we wanted to.

Unless they still owe us a shitload of the transfer which could reduce any fee but yeah seems extremely unlikely would be absolutely amazing though.
Or we just may have something bright and shiny they want?

Without trying to make anyone's dick too hard, remember that we have a first refusal option on bale against any other premier league bid.
This could be what is meant by it is in levys hands?

Appreciate the info, but I'll be more than shocked if Bale returned. I'd probably start scanning the sky for aliens landing.

There may well be a deal to do, but I can't remember Levy ever "making a statement" transfer wise since he's been here.

I'm so confused.

Poch is a bit frustrated, Poch is very happy, Poch is hugely frustrated, Poch is happy to commit his future with Real Madrid being the only variable.

Who to believe...

Yep, Poch is very happy.

I'm choosing that one. And relax.

Hmm. Levy paying Bale £300k a week...

I'd like to see it, I really would.

Those things can be worked around by letting him keep his image rights and stuff like that. Still a long shot, but just saying there's other ways to pay him other than directly through an astronomical wage

I think that only applied for the first contract he signed with Real Madrid. He has since signed a new contract.
