ali z: On Bale have said this before if we can do financials we would always be his first choice.

edmonton (on poch/levy relationship i presume):In Levy's view is the relationship is excellent.

Nice to hear we would be first choice.

We would never be able to figure out the financials, but always nice to get a compliment i suppose....

Not that it would happen anyway but Gareth bale is getting worse injury wise each year. Only managed 17 league starts last season. 24 in total
And managed 9 goals in all comps

He has regressed and looked a bit more1 dimensional . Think he bulked up a bit too much

The goat says Barkley is all agreed but levy is moving the goal posts, Breeze says everything is agreed but Barkley is having second thoughts.

"The Goat's source guesses we might get another season from him at best unless things dramatically improve. But that's just a guess." - so the main point of the ITK is based purely on a guess?

"This isn't player greed, its promises being made and then broken" - if I was promised something and then had it broken I certainly wouldn't sign a new contract.

I'm certainly grateful for the information being passed, but it does read as coming from someone with an axe to grind, maybe an ex-player or agent that's been burnt.

Levy is an astute businessman and I just can't see him risking our first season in the new stadium by losing half our first team and manager

You don't think bale would have been watching us last season thinking if you'd added me to the lineup we would have won the league.so ignoring wages i can see why he would be tempted if he thought he could win trophies with us.
As long as he's happy on the bench. Would have to get by Dele and Son first! ;)

WHUUUUUUUUT???

Wimmer for £21m?? Are they on crack?

Bournemouth just paid £20m for Nathan Ake. Wimmer is a much better defender. At the going rate now £21m for Wimmer would be a very good deal for Southampton.

Not sure if this is good news or compounds the Goat's earlier ITK...

I love this thread. I walked in the office this morning to we're signing no one that Poch wants, Levy is a cheapskate to walking out the office to chat of signing Bale as a statement of intent. Rollercoaster. Where's that donate button....

To match his current wages, £700K a week before tax on a 5 year deal = 182,000,000

Plus let's say a £70M fee

A measly quarter of a billion to sign Gareth Bale back. Doable?

Come on Nike offer Bale a massive sponsorship if he comes back to Spurs

I do love these silly season rumors. Not a chance in hell of bringing Bale back. I feel like Ray Finkels Dad in Ace Ventura. Ray aint coming home!

If we all just donate to his wages I am sure it will be fine, right?

Baldy would love that too

He started this season superbly, injuries got to him though.

He looks more one dimensional but that has been the case since he joined. Essentially he is playing second fiddle and is being asked to do a very different role at Real than he had at spurs. So I'm not sure you can say too much about that.

There is next to no chance Gareth comes back. Wayyyyy too expensive and Levy will 1000% not pay anywhere close to what Bale would want in wages. That being said, we would win the league no problem if we still had Bale.
