It really is incredible to see 100 mill deal for big Rom.
he will do well for them, should assist turning a lot of those league draws into a few more wins....has a bit to prove in the key CL games etc. but still young
Conte is going to be miffed off
Ibrahimovic is a better striker and target man though. Their problem isn't their striker its the boring Mourinho football that creates very few chances

Gylfi off to Everton for £30m

Somewhere David Moyes is sitting in a dark corner muttering 'i built that club'

Everton have a new owner and were always going to spend a lot this summer, Lukaku leaving just helps them recoup most (if not all) of what they've spent.

Rooney is an odd signing though, I don't see how he fits with Sandro, Giroud (if they get him) and the midfielders. He'll just get in the way.

Squad depth. You need a solid 18 players to compete and Rooney isn't the most natural athlete and so will never play 40 games a season these days.

Their squad will certainly be interesting with the amount of good quality players they're bringing in but losing your best player is never a step forward for any team. He helped them to absolutely batter the teams at the bottom of the table last season.

I think the hype will end fast.

The contract length will be interesting, father time is around the corner and he hasn't looked after himself well during his career.

hoping someone might know. .. is the Raiola agent fee, 'six figures', on top of the (75m+15m+Rooney) that Manure are paying for Lukaku ?

It's eight figures according to The Guardian - see my post on previous page.

Hopefully there'll be an investigation, as per payments to Raiola in the Pogba deal.

Could go either way, but they'll sell a ton of shirts.

He'll score six goals in all comps, end up being a bench player and this time next year will be off to MLS. Oh but he'll sell a lot of shirts in the meantime.

I don't get why people are so critical of this transfer. For my money Wayne is one of the greatest PL era players, who is a boyhood fan and still of an age where he can contribute.

The move home might end up being nothing more than ceremonial but a player with the talent Rooney has will still offer that club plenty aside from the feel good factor of simply signing.
