Let's be clear about this...Walker left because neither Poch or Levy wanted him to stay...simple. Why weren't we seeing the same scenario headlines as with Dier or any other player we wish to retain ?? i.e. Spurs reject massive City bid for Walker ????. That is the reason why no-one else of value will be leaving this window....Sissoko hopefully as soon as possible but I am 100% convinced that any player who was enjoying being regularly in the first team squad at the end of last season will not be going anywhere.
Kyle either did not believe in Poch's methods or was sending negative vibes to the rest of the team....something happened and he had to go. To get £50m for someone you don't want at your club is a massive bonus....I pray it's spent wisely.

I think most of the back and forth seems to be a chicken or egg scenario. No one knows how it all played out behind the scenes. Is the whole reason we want out, the fact that he wanted out? In which case, City have done us one with the snide transfer tactics. On the other hand, has Poch had a problem first, for example with fitness.

2016/17 season

Walker 31 starts , 14 clean sheets , 5 assists

Trippier 6 starts , 3 clean sheets, 5 assists

For as good as Walker been , Trippier IMO is ahead on comparison. Its so unfair that Trippier didn't get more chances.

We wanted him out because he wanted to go and he wanted to go because city tapped him up. So who has won City or us?

I hope not. I think he has given enough service to the club to warrant a warm reception from the fans. We are getting a record fee for him as well and we bought him for peanuts plus it's not like he is running his contract down either so I just feel he deserves a bit more respect.

Along as he comes back to do Walker's wind up and the Holloween Specials, there will be no booing from me.

If he doesn't there will be hell to pay.

Galatasary has nothing on me!!

Won? It's a transfer - they've just paid a possible world record for a right back - Kyle Walker.

Hopefully our street cred from this transfer doesn't get out of hand in the playground when we go out for our break later.

Stats like this are rather meaningless in a team game. Too many other factors for them to illustrate anything.

Easy to say , but reality is he can only assist & create if he is played. For the record, his other 3 opponents were Arsenal, United, Burnley. He struggled against Martial (like Walker did against Zaha) but what matters is we won all those 3 games...

Just get another good RB in or use that cash very wisely, We have sold a good RB to a E.P.L rival Sigh, which in a sports world makes 0 Sense, OK we are gonna get 50 Million for him can we get someone in that will help us, As someone stated earlier , that big Wembley Stadium pitch and Trippier does not look to enticing, hope Trippier proves me 100% Wrong

Pretty hard to get assists vs other teams when youre sat on the bench tbf...

And he was obviously on the bench because he's a better player than Walker? I'm pointing out where his assists came, because they have all been against dog shit teams that we trounced. When he's getting assists vs Everton away and Stoke away like Walker, fair enough.

Again, he didn't play because he wasn't as good. If he was training better and performing better, Poch would've chucked him in and let him start more games. He didn't just struggle against Martial, he got pinned back and slaughtered by him - Walker came on and made Martial look ineffective.

Walker is obviously on his way out, but I do not fancy us going into the new season with Trippier as first choice.

£45m cash up front could we worth a lot more than that if we use a chunk of it to pay off some of our loans for the stadium construction. That's not to say that £45m won't go back into our transfer fund, but I imagine that we'd try and structure any of our own purchases across a number of years rather than paying in one go like City have.

Stoke were a dog shit team that we trounced twice.

Respectfully, What a load of rubbish.

I) Walker played against more dogshit teams last season. Why didn't he create or assist more then ?
How can Trippier create chances against Everton & Stoke when he isn't playing?

II) with regards to training, Pochettino himself has said Trippier deserves more time & praised his professionalism.

5 assists from 6 starts for a RB is meaningless ?
Tell me a meaningful stat, we will compare that too
Well when teams target trips next year from the start we will see what he is made of, defensively regardless of the clean sheet stat he looked very suspect against decent attacking teams. Gutted to see walker go. Hope we spend the money wisely :)

I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if Walker (or his representatives) hadn't told City that Rose also wanted out
