This would be such a massive blow. Walker is a great player but Rose is world class - genuinely top 5 full backs in the world.

Losing Walker this summer was understandable. We could write it off as unique circumstances with the falling out with Poch / wanting to move back north. Two in one summer and it's hard not to envision this team falling apart.

It is absolutely imperative we keep Rose.

We could sell another first teamer for 50 million, and really invest it in the squad.

Oh yeah, thats right, we don't offer the wages.

Whilst i agree with the overall sentiment of what rose says and posts that are sympathetic to what he is saying, can we please stop with this no ambition bollocks.

It's really lazy criticism of what is actually a complex procedure. We're not the only club struggling to secure targets. If you read what players like Morata have to say, or ITK about Keita it is clear that so much goes on behind closed doors that we don't even know about.

This no ambition talk .. is really misguided.
How is it misguided? We've made no signings at all and do not seem to be even remotely close to making one. The one intentful potential signing was a young player from a weaker league who has potential to be a star in this league(Balde). We've sold the best right back in the league to a league rival last month without a replacement and now we have no fit right back. When you sell a player who is the best in the league at his position without even signing a fucking replacement, you are a selling club with no actual, tangible ambition.

If the RB issue had been sorted sooner then we would have had a lot more patience, sending a message to MP, the fans and the league, so far that is the major fail in this window.
We can't help Everton playing hardball.
We can't help getting guzumped by Juve.
The RB issue is a shocker.

I can understand him being frustrated. But going to the papers is disrespectful.

Fair chance chavski tapped him up. Juve have turned down around £70 million for Alex Sandro and Conte told Roman's lackeys to go get Rose.

We should not sell to chavski under any circumstances, and should pursue tapping up financial compensation if we can prove it.

The holes in levy's plans have been there from the start.

It was obvious that once our players got to this level the money would talk and they would leave

If this is Rose, I genuinely don't have a problem with the comments we've seen so far (albeit, we haven't seen the full article yet). If I was a current Spurs player, then even as a Spurs fan I wouldn't be happy that the club have sold Walker this window despite absolutely not needing to in terms of both our finances and the length of Walker's remaining contract, and I would want to apply pressure to the manager/board to improve the squad rather than weaken it. Again, if this is Rose, I think he's pretty much right in what he's saying.

You make vaild points.

If he wants to leave then get a transfer from behind doors. I wont be giving him any respect or 'fair plays' or 'fair enough' from his decision. If it is him he's gone about it in a shit and disrepectful way. My support is to Tottenham and not some player that may want to leave because of a lack of signings.

The only thing that will stop me from being pissed off at this and also possibilty of him leaving is if it isn't his interview. Otherwise I will remain pissed off especially considering his importance to us as a team.

That's different. That's our reaction as fans, which is likely to be far more emotional than logical.

Levy has played this game for too long now, and it's caught up with him. In truth he did not expect Pochettino to have improved us and our players to such an extent by this stage of the project, but the upsides to that progress massively outweigh the negatives (actually having to build on it).

I posted that I felt this sentiment would spread through the squad next summer, but it has clearly come early and we need to nip it in the bud.

Levy needs to sit down with Joe Lewis and make a plan for working in a market which he thinks, and he may well be right, is unsustainable - but there's no hiding that it is the reality.

Just saying it's ridiculous isn't going to make it go away and suddenly people will be accepting 13m plus add-ons for their star player again...

What a difference 24 hours makes! Really fed up now with this window! We've fuxked up big time if Levy upped the wage bill tp £150k we wouldn't have these problems! Especially the amount he charges us for tickets! Everything from Wembley to our playing squad has been handled poorly and if this is true then i doubt he's the only one.

If levy is not careful this could derail our season. Once the rot sets in and player unrest appears its a nightmare. We have improved a year or 2 early with our budget. with other clubs paying silly money to average players it was always going to cause trouble. Levy needs to get some pay rises agreed and nip this in the bud.
Like Levy actually gives a shit. He'll sell Rose, sign Toljan to play both RB and LB, make some stupid statement that Donna tells him to make in order to get his sheep bsodls back on his side so they can continue to spew their grass isnt greener horseshit and around and around we go.

If we sell Rose and Walker within the same window, it's quite obvious things will spiral from there.

Poch won't be far behind, that's for sure.

If it is Rose, I can't see us selling to Chelsea no matter what. We didn't sell Modric to them even after he actually named them as the club he wants to join! If he goes, my guess is he goes abroad. Hopefully this is just a warning message from Rose (if it's him). He did say not so long ago that he can see himself staying for life and that he doesn't even get the urge to go back up north again etc etc. I know Chelsea are also in London but I genuinely can't see him going there. We won't let him.

As shit as it would be if he left, Poch turned him from an average player into an amazing LB. Poch will do the same with the next one. It's just a pity it's all happening now.
