These stories really feel like an attack on the club from the press, 'Spurs Exodus' as a headline, mutinous dressing room, piss off.

They wouldn't dare go in on a Liverpool or Utd like this.

From the mouth of our best player, the one who would command the highest wages, the one who would walk into his any other side on the planet:

"Football for me isn’t about money. I’m at Tottenham because I love this club and I see it going in the right direction.

“I feel we are one of the best teams in England and Europe, so I’m excited for the future ahead.

“Everyone knows I’m a Spurs fan and that’s where I want to be for the foreseeable future.

“I have a great relationship with the manager and the fans.

“At the end of the season I expect us to be up there fighting for that title again and hopefully we can turn some of our ambition into wins.”

Yeah, I'm less angry and sweary than last night but my point remain, Rose can do one. Disgraceful, pathetic, idiot.

Kane's quotes - 100% agree with you can anyone heee actually see him agreeing/siding or applauding rose? I think he would be pissed right off about it!

I fully believe in Kane, but his was before this recent story right? On the US tour? Not saying his stance has changed, but was this just released?

I think we have plenty of players who would vouch for the club and Pochettino that I'm not overly worried. I'm worried about potentially losing the best fullback duo in the league in one summer with no quality replacements signed, though.

I'm not going to let myself panic over this. I just can't see the players all revolting over something like this. And how the fuck are they supposed to know how other players reacted during a training session?

Surely this is just fabricated bullshit. Why do I get the feeling that this is their way of trying to destabilise our club? We've been rocking the boat for years now and they don't like it.

Why don't they like it?

It's easier to sell papers/garner clicks and interest when the big clubs are killing it on the pitch. More interest = more revenue. We've disrupted the balance a bit in recent seasons and, generally speaking, our fanbase is pretty small despite our success.

We could easily quash this problem by raising the wages so they're a fair reflection of our players value. We don't have to be amongst the top paying clubs but nearer to them than we are currently. Personally I believe the other players agree with rose. We need to deal with this now. It doesn't have to be such a big issue.

I don't want to puncture the pessimism, but there is a potentially decent outcome here - that Levy agrees to a series of new contracts with significant pay hikes kicking in as we move into our new stadium. Ultimately, Uncle Joe will need to pay top 4 wages to keep these boys. But I'm taking some comfort from how happy players seem to be with manager, each other, training ground etc. - it's really for ENIC now to see if they want to own and support a genuinely competitive team, and the best manager in the PL, or sell up. The halfway house of losing these players one by one - and not being able to sign anyone because of an artificially low wage structure - cannot appeal to Lewis or Levy.

How the fuck are we allowing all of this to come out with no statement?

Do Tottenham not realise how bad this looks and how worried it's made the fans?

Whoever has been in charge of PR this summer should be sacked because it's been a complete fucking train wreck, right from the beginning.

Why don't they like it?

Because us bring a fly in the ointment pisses off the big clubs. Top clubs have the connections in the press. They get the good stories and can sell it to the masses. Help the big clubs generate more fans. Spin doctors and propaganda at work. They wouldn't do this to a club like United.

Why don't they like it?

The old top four generate a hell of a lot more clicks on their websites, so they prefer them being at the top.

We also actually reminded everyone that you can compete on the pitch by actually coaching players rather than just throwing money around football manager style, which doesn't make sense in modern football (although may be the undoing of us now).

Save this as a draft for next summer. I feel like this same post comes out every year by at least one poster.
