Unfortunate. That would have been a hysterical bit of banter on the clubs and Danny's part, to be fair. The joke has gotten boring doing it after every possible link but having it as an announcement would have been hilarious.

Agreed as well as being hilarious it would have probably helped lessen the wild booing he is likely to receive on his first game back purely by giving us a laugh.
Where are we getting the time thing from? Late friday afternoons are normally reserved for bad news dumps, not good news.

Normally some kind of clock but you are right to ask, philosophically speaking time is a human construct, invented to help make sense of space and matter and the passing of energy. So, in a sense, it has no existence beyond our imagination. Einstein was perhaps wrong to suggest a relativity between space and time for that reason.

Agreed. Not gonna lose any sleep over it, but I do think it could have been spun as an good bit of PR for all involved.
Could have shown the club are willing to put the shitstorm to bed and move on for one. And Danny showing he could take the piss out of himself would have softened the angry view some of then fans will inevitably have.
