Nice have made an enquiry for Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez - but the Colombian is reluctant to leave Antonio Conte's side this month.

The centre-back has made 195 appearances for the club since signing from Ajax in 2017 for £42m.

It's about time we started off loading some of the players that are not really in future plans. Sanchez to me is not a defender you can depend upon. The problem is that the club can't seem to shift out players that are not essential to the squad either because we ask to much for them or nobody wants them. We are not a club that is going to buy the big money stars so off loading the "deadwood" of 5 or 6 players could generate 100 mil +. Putting them out on loan everytime is not going to get that money in and they come back and we keep paying their big wages which is draining the club. Lo Celso and Ndombele are prime examples of players out on loan that will probably come back next season. Surely it's better to cut your losses on players like this and let them go cheaply if neccessary and start building.

Having see the few we paid for him, I can see why FP was convicted of dodgy deals seeing what we paid for Cuti ?

Always liked Sanchez tbh and never felt he was half as bad as some fans would make out. Infinitely better than Tanganga, and always fit and available + never seems to moan at being back up to Cuti. Think we'd struggle to find a better player than him to sit on the bench, although i'd definitely approve buying 2 new top class CB's and replacing Sanchez on the bench with Dier.

If he is to go lets remember he's played 195 games for us and been a good servant.

He should be playing first team football somewhere. He's been good for us but always needs a steady player next to him which has rarely been the case here.

Sanchez has been okay. Nothing more... when we bought him I was excited and pretty sure he would develop into a top defender for us... he had all the attributes and came from Ajax as well... had just played in the Europa League final... That never happened. Sadly... we need new blood and more class in central defence.

I would welcome a sale.

Although Poch is brilliant and there can be no harsh criticism of him, his big money buys, Sanchez, N’Dombele and Lo Celso have all been poor, for the amount they cost.

Great point. He's regressed since Toby & Jan moved on; some centre halves need strong leaders alongside them and he's certainly one of those.

Was just going to say there was a run of games under Poch where he'd partner one of them or occasionally play between them in a back 3 and I thought he was a sure thing to be our next great CB.

He certainly had plenty of attributes, particularly his pace & recovery ability. I think now his confidence is low and it’ll probably take a move elsewhere to get him back on track.

Nice pay high salaries to Ramsay and Pepe so it’s possible they’ll pay Davinson’s wage if they want him.

I like him and think he’ll do well elsewhere but don’t feel he’ll ever make it here.

He is very inflexible and is hopeless in RB duties, or playing on the left. Or centre.
But unlike the other CB's. he does have a goal or 2 in him.

If Romero goes missing again, like last season, Sanchez is quite capable of playing his part in us putting in a strong challenge for 4th.

I love him to make all those mistakes somewhere else.

I think that's what it boiled down to. He is a good player but he needed to be playing with more experienced and quality defenders that he used to in Jan and Toby. I think he will be a good player at his next club
