LOCKED: Not because of anything to do with the player signing. But because the thread needs to be cleaned up despite a warning on the direction people were taking it. One ban done already. More to follow if this continues.

UNLOCKED: Anyone on the verge of signing for Spurs, please take your views on homosexual relationships to social media. Everyone else, please talk about the player, this is a Football Forum.

Back on the football side....

Poch has talked today about bringing in four players.

If you assume Gazza, Barkley and Sanchez, that only leaves space for either a right back or a forward player.

Based on KWP's form in pre-season and against Newcastle, I'd suggest the forward player is the more important one for us so we might not be in for a right back at all.

In the forward position we will have Harry, Janssen, Son. At RB we have Trips and an untested KWP. If we can only sign one, I would rather have a RB come in, but I guess this depends a lot on how you rate KWP and Janssen.

Aurier would be an exiting signing. I don't think that we would buy if he hadn't reformed somehow. Hopefully he just needs some better PR advisors and discipline - the club can provide both of those things.

I actually meant a wider attacking player rather than a striker (very much not clear from my post I realise).

Our options for wider players at the moment are:

Son (excellent option)
Sissoko (hopefully won't be here for long)
Lamela (no idea if and when he'll play for Spurs again)
N'Koudou (very raw and yet to really show what he can do).

For me that's very light considering we could have a situation where we have Eriksen, Barkley and Alli to play a more central role.

That's why I think that's a more important role, particularly considering how stodgy we looked in the first half against Newcastle.

If it starts again I'll post photos from my homosexual relationship, they won't do it again in a hurry :D

He saved a mans life on the pitch. End of controversy.
And, Adebayor once scored a goal against Arsenal (not sure which was more valuable to society). but that doesn't mean Adebayor wasn't bat-shit crazy & useless when he wanted to be

Apart from JJ "not" ruling this one out explicitly on twitter or here via a rating reply, has there been any ITK on Aurier besides from French papers and some uk journos rehashing the stories? Seems some believe this is quite likely

I believe it's mainly the French stories and JJ liking a few things on Twitter about aurier. I think that's it.

You do know that refs on the continent are far more averse to a meaty challenge, right?

Having your tongue blocking your airways isn't solved by shoving your hand into someones mouth and pulling their tongue out. It's actually a very bad thing to do. If that happens you adjust their position. It's a stupid term to use and the point was Aurier didn't save anyones life. So him "saving someones life" doesn't excuse his homophobic rant.
I aren't here to discuss first aid or your views on homophobic issues. Please leave me alone.

Btw its not the issue of adjusting their position its them clamping down and biting your hand. Nothing to do with their position.
