I get why he would want to join them. Get upwards of 200K a week and not really have to do any actual work. Get to hang out with pals and take part in advertisements and social media kits releases. You also get to work on your acting skills when you have to pretend that you care you've conceded another goal, which is crucial if you want to bag a serious role in the future.
I reckon they’ll give him Willian’s contract and just change the name.

I mean I don't really have a problem if he does, for a few reasons, but he'd be a massive hypocrite if he did join after his stance on joining Lille
That’s a good point though it depends on whether he feels much of an affiliation with us.

I am puzzled why if he was so determined to leave Spurs he is looking to join another club at roughly the same level a few hundred yards down the road.

Yes, they're a shit club, but he's significantly better than what they have so he would actually improve them, even if he isn't brilliant.
I am more concerned that he might still be better than what we have, even if he isn’t brilliant.

This is just click bait nonsense. But I wouldn’t have a problem with it tbh it’s not like we were desperate to hold onto him, and we ended the contract mutually. This isn’t a Campbell situation, and there are plenty of other players who’ve crossed over, from Pat Jennings, to William Gallas.

Plus, if they want our cast offs it means we are in a vastly better place than they are currently.
