Plenty of chance to turn it around. Great chance to win next 3 home games to make Wembley a better place to be for Spurs fans
Liking the positive spin - and I agree

Can we form an anti-Neville Cult and secretly wish him never to speak again - I mean seriously, I live in Spain and wince constantly at his one dimensional, moronically biased natter - his insane natter - he doesn't even see the game - he sees what he wants to see - what a plonker that man is and he gets paid for it! FFS! LOL! How on earth did that man ever play at a decent level with his brain?
He's like the moronic mate you met at college and accepted because you didn't want to judge, then as the years went by you have no option but to resort to your initial synopsis....what a twat - once a twat always a twat !And it don't matter what you have achieved inbetween Mr Neville or how much money you have - you're a knob - a one dimensional, pre-ordained f uc king knob! I could predict what you will say in next weeks game before your bad breath utters a vibe - you absolute, god honest definition of a twat!

The reaction is precisely because this wasn't the Spurs of old.

We're finally at the stage were we can utterly dominate Chelsea in both possession and shots on goal, and yet they still manage to come away with the win (which, on balance, they deserved).

& make no mistake, this was a Chelsea in crisis. DAVID LUIZ started in midfield, along with Bakayoko making his PL debut FFS. Their back 3 was fucking Aspilicueta (who's a right back), Rudiger aka bambi on ice, & Christiansen (who?). They are without Hazard, Costa, Fabregas (who always dick all over us) & didn't have Pedro on the pitch until the last 10 minutes. The atmosphere at the club is also as toxic as it's ever been given Costa's antics and their ridiculous melt-down last week.

There are times for calm analysis but if ever there was a time to play Chelsea it was fucking now, and we blew it big time. I think we're entitled to feel a bit frustrated while still recognising we're a club on the up and moving in the right direction under Poch.
I would agree with all of this except that Azpilicueta has played in their CB3 ever since Conte switched to it. It's not exactly a role he's uncomfortable in.

I think we need that speedy ball-carrying option for Wembley. We have technical players with movement and good chemistry but that one player who can stretch the play and lead a counter is one area that will improve us. Rather than being narrow and touch-tight we have to make full use of the width of the pitch so it drags defenders out of position.

As others have said, we "dominated" because Chelsea allowed us to.

I worry about the teams who come and attack us at Wembley. Every time Chelsea got into the final third, they seemed one ball away from splitting our defense open.

You missed his celebration when we scored, he was going nuts.
It's just different mate... Conte's celebrations have always been just way over the top, even if, say, they scored the 5th goal in 5-1 victory, to the point it is almost deliberate to wind opposing managers up..

We need pace to come from somewhere to be able to take advantage of the open space on the big pitch. With both Davies and Trippier playing we don't have anyone who can run into space unless we drop one of Dele or Eriksen for Son.
How about Walker of City he could do a job?

Their winning goal was poor management all round.

Can only lose the ball behind their back four and wide in that situation.
When a midfield player has run back 50 yards to win a tackle, gets injured someone must cover, someone must say slow it down.
Possibility of winning the game on the counter, but cannot, absolutely cannot lose the game by trying to win it.
Did not reorganise, did not switch on when the ball was with Lloris.
A draw would have been okay and changed the whole post game discussion.

Disappointing.

There's only so many 'unlucky' defeats to Chelsea at Wembley before you have to reassess whether it's really all 'luck'
Not just Wembley though, is it? We haven't won at the bridge for over 20 years and we've been 2 up there twice with 20 minutes to go.

Hit the post twice, had two great free kicks one of which teased all the way across goal and the other went in, Kane alone had four chances that on a non-August day you'd bet him to score, including a header from Davies' corner that is absolutely massive but he just glances it. What were you watching?

A poor performance against a weakened Chelsea team, some of the players looked off the pace. Was the same against the Toons last week.

It's only my opinion, not really my concern if someone doesn't see it that way

Today proved that Dier and Poch have agreed that he won't play CB ever again. Not that it would've made a difference but was very surprised we weren't playing 3 at the back considering how it worked against Chelsea last year at home.

Wanyama needs game time to get sharp, Dembele was motm today. It'll be very interesting to see if Dier starts CM next week.

Reason I think we didn't go with the 3 at the back is because Davies would have been vulnerable against Moses which is why Dembele was helping him out, we have Rose available and we win that match IMO.

Yep - but if you can't get some game management from your and France's captain and one of your most experienced players, who can you get it from?

You said we created nothing, I explained why I believe that isn't true.

I do agree however that we weren't at our best either. Two or three players in particular looked very out of shape.

Agree it was the same at the semi final too we had most of the ball but did nothing with it in the final third, whereas they had four shots on goal and scored every time which looks like they have our number.

Plus, much like when we went to City last year after they got stuffed by Everton, these kind of teams full of champions don't like getting stick and criticism, it fires them up.
