Well, I like him. He also fits our need for a player with lightening pace, and won't mind being an impact sub atm. I don't really understand why he didn't have any real chance at leicester, especially when Mahrez and Albrighton were really shite last season

Suggestion Leicester were offering him plus cash for Townsend. Palace should bite their hands off.

As for him potentially signing for us, I'm probably in the minority but I'd be reasonably pleased. I think he has a lot of potential.

Football is about opinions but I'm fully in agreement with you.

I can see him being exceptional in a few years.

The bloke can't get into the Leicester side and apart from a worldy at OT I can't think of a single thing to justify the ridiculous fee being demanded. Extremely underwhelming

Because he's bang average. Bit of pace, half decent long range shot, but that's about it.

I think so too. He glides across the pitch with the ball. Real effortless pace and a good change of pace too. Maybe the one negative is he doesn't get involved in the game enough, but that could be as much to do with the way Leicester like to play. There is definitely plenty to work with there though.

Majorly underwhelming given the positive ITK we have had - just can't see him being one of the top targets that we have been working on all window.

It would be next to impossible for us to sign an attacking midfielder, especially at this late stage, at the same level as our first XI. Realistically, if we're going to sign someone in this position it's going to be a Gray type player - young, perhaps under appreciated at his current club, but someone Poch thinks he can get the best out of. It's not a coincidence we've been linked with Gray and Origi.

Possibly the phrase I hate most in the transfer window.

I was meaning in regards to having a plan and having our targets lined up and worked on all window - this doesn't seem to fit in with that. I personally don't think this link is true.

This player couldn't break through at Leicester so why would we think he would be good for us?

He's a player with obvious ability, but I do doubt that he'd actually get into our first team at this stage.

That then makes you wonder what would be the point of the move for anyone involved? Gray wants first team football and we need someone who can make an impact now, particularly at the prices being bandied about for Gray.

I'd be happy if it was him plus another attacking player, but at this stage it's incredibly unlikely.

Spurs are reportedly now leading the race for Demarai Gray after tabling a heft cash bid in a late swoop for the Leicester City star.

There has been much speculation surrounding the future of the England U21 international all summer as he looks desperate for more game time.

Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Everton have all been credited with interest throughout the transfer window - with Tottenham another one of the clubs consistently mentioned in the conversation over the winger's possible transfer.

However, according to the Mirror, it is now Spurs who are leading the race for Demarai Gray after making a "hefty straight cash bid".

Bournemouth are believed to have previously bid £30 million for Gray, who only made nine starts in the Premier League last campaign.

What people say: "Sign someone FFS levy!"
What they then say: "Only sign a world class player FFS levy!"
What they really mean: "Sign the 1-2 people I approve on FFS levy!"

Can we please sign a quick forward with an actual record of good end product? PLEASE.
People are clamoring for Zaha he has no end product either...

Doubt we are in for Gray, it doesn't make much sense and since when have the papers been right? JJ said there wasn't a player thread for one of our targets so I'm gonna choose to believe him over this source...
