Bit disappointed about getting teams we've had before, but been wanting to cross Dortmund off my bucket list for ages, was gutted when I couldn't get out there last time, and we owe them a proper fucking game. Would have liked Juve, Bayern or PSG really but there's always the knockout eh..

Good time to play them as well I reckon. New manager and they've just lost Dembele

Will losing Dembele and recruiting Yarmolenko weaken or strengthen them?

Massively weakens them. Dembele is one of the most exciting young players in the game, whereas Yamolenko is an overhyped former FM-legend whose real-life counterpart never lived up to the game. So he was one of the best players in the Ukranian league for however long, but what does that really say? He'll probably be alright but he's nowhere near the level of Dembele

Still have Aubameyang though, so still very dangerous. Also Pulisic is no slouch.

Yeah don't get me wrong, not saying it'll be easy by any stretch, but they're not necessarily going to be at their best as they'll still be getting used to the new manager and will have to change their system now that Dembele has gone so they probably won't be in full flow etc. like if we'd played them in February once they'd all settled into the new regime/squad.

Think we might set up for our first 3 CL games with one of these formations.

----------------------Hugo-------------------------
-------Sanchez --- Toby --- Verts---------
----Aurier------------------------------Davies---
------- --------- Vic ------ Moose-----
-------------- Kane ------ Eriksen---
------------------- Llorente ---------------------

or

----------------------Hugo-------------------------
-------Sanchez --- Toby --- Verts---------
-----Aurier------------------------------Davies---
- ------- --------- Vic ------ Moose-----
---------------------Eriksen-----------------
----------------Kane --- Llorente ---------------------

Since we're home, I'd expect to see us line up with our typical formation but Son in for Alli. I'd expect Sanchez and Aurier in defense because we'll need their athleticism, especially with PEA and their PACY WIDE FORWARDS.

So, basically:

-------------------- Hugo ------------------------
Aurier - Sanchez - Toby - Jan -- Davies
------ Wanyama ------- Dembele ----------
--- Eriksen -------------------- Son ---------
-------------------- Kane ------------------------

Winks qualifies as U21 so appears on List B
Yeah but they could be named on list A to get others eligible

Also, rose shouldnt count as club trained when we bought him at 17. If we had purchased Sessegnon, it would have been an absolute joke that we could have listed him as club trained in a few years.

So we're getting the same squad restriction that Man City got for breaching financial fair play, a few years ago, what utter bullshit that is.

Three years between age 15 to 21 = club trained. That's just the way it is.

I agree that it's odd not to name Winks in our A list to give us an extra space - surely an oversight?

Will Dele count as home grown at the club next season when he's been here three years or did he join up a window too late?

He'd fall under part 1:

What's a 'locally trained player'?
There are two categories:
1. Club-trained players – players who were on a club's books for three years between the ages of 15 and 21;
2. Association-trained players – players who were on another club's books in the same association for three years between the ages of 15 and 21. No club can have more than four association-trained players among their eight nominees on List A.
