Do you think he'll get the service he needs?
Depends whether or not if the manager adapts to him, if our manager is as tactically good and flexible as he’s being painted to be then Llorente will be fine.

When you have a player like Kane, who is pretty much undroppable, all you can do is improve the other attacking options. In signing Llorente we went from two players who scored double figures in the league last season, to three. Now we need to apply it, I have faith that we will.

If we play Llorente, Tripps should be on - with specific instructions to actually start crossing the ball again - and I wouldn't play Tripps in this game.

If Kane is out for a long period I think people who think llorente was the correct buy-in might reconsider.

i think it is more the case that Poch needs to take this as a learning point - Do not leave Kane on for 85 minutes in a game we have won, or he is clearly tired, just because he wants to stay on and get a hat trick. He has to protect him from himself.

Can you clarify?
  1. Poch has to protect Poch from Pochself?
  2. Poch has to protect Kane from Pochself?
  3. Poch has to protect Poch from Kaneself?
  4. Poch has to protect Kane from Kaneself?
  5. Kane has to protect Kane from Kaneself?
  6. Kane has to protect Poch from Kaneself?
  7. Kane has to protect Kane from Pochself?
  8. Kane has to protect Poch from Pochself?

People still think Llorente was a wise purchase?
He seemed to be, but he hasn't been as aggressive as I thought he'd be so far. He needs to show more desire and put himself about. I don't know if it's lack of pre-season but I think he can do more, whether we are putting in crosses or not.

Is that his game?

It should be I think with his height. I hadn't seen that much of him previously but i'd always been under the impression that he imposed himself on games more. I'm not expecting him to be Andy Carroll, but just show a bit more aggression and hunger. He hasn't won anywhere near enough headers so far and he's been losing out to defenders too much. When he does manage to keep hold of it his layoffs are usually pretty decent though.

Apology accepted, if you haven't seen Son play well for us up front or for South Korea then I don't know what you've been watching.

If Chicharito is so good he wouldn't have gone to West Ham.

Ok then, he is too slow, misses too many chaces, and doesn't hold the ball up well enough. Has very limited skill. I can see that in the limited games he had played for us already.

This and other posts by Mr logic on Kane are golden.

I am not convinced this is a fact.

The bolded part could easily have been taken from RAWK as recent as today.

Yea, he should probably not think about taking up scouting any time soon.

I know it was an entirely different game, and Llorente is being discussed as an alternative option, albeit not the only option, but on Wednesday night having witnessed his hold up play this does not fill me with anywhere near as much confidence as I would have had if the last time I'd seen him was in the Real Madrid game.

I know they will be a different obstacle to break down, but when we needed to get back into the game at 3-2 down, I did not see where that equaliser was coming from despite our efforts to claw it back after the horse had bolted and the Spammers had replied with 3 goals, it proved to be an elusive chase. Whilst we will have an altogether different defence that will hopefully be a lot more solid that the pathetic fare that was offered up in the 2nd half against the Spammers, it's impossible not to be concerned about how we can realistically claw back a 1 or 2 goal deficit without HK at Old Trafford if we do concede, and if HK is not fit in time we will face similar problems against Real Madrid. Granted, it's not impossible but there is no getting away from the fact that it's gotten a whole lot more difficult.

This makes the decision to leave Kane on the pitch for 15 mins more than he should have been kept on for against Liverpool even more frustrating. Yes hindsight is a wonderful thing, but it must surely have been obvious to everyone that the job was pretty much done up front and given the impending fixtures that were to come, for the greater good Poch should have insisted he be brought off. I know that if that had happened we would most probably be looking at entirely different events. Let's face it there is every chance he could have been brought on for the last 20 mins to rescue us against the Spammers, and there is more than a fair chance he would have had opportunities of tucking one or even two away given the pressure we were putting on them for an equaliser, most of the last 20 mins was played in their half and in their box as I witnessed it at first hand behind that goal, but without a clear focal point in HK to get on the end of a chance. Following this, the game against Man Utd tomorrow would have had a completely different look and complexion about it.

That said its all if's but's and maybe's, and it's not over before a ball is kicked, it's just as I said before gotten a whole lot more difficult than it already was, and it needed to have been. They say that Poch learned from previous errors in the way he deployed specific tactics against Liverpool and Real Madrid, let's hope that in future he learns similar lessons when it comes to being decisive about brining Kane off at the right time if the job is already done.

Still can’t quite understand why Kane went to that Awards on Tuesday night 48 hours after he has supposedly done his hamstring. However minor surely he should have been resting up at home. Its not like he was even collecting an award ,seems very odd.But if there is minor damage.Prrsonally I’d Rest him for Real and palace and pull him out of England. To make sure he is 100% for 13 games in 6 weeks that’s coming.
