8, not 9.

But I agree. I never like writing off cups, even the haribo.
Did we write it off though? We were 2-0 up and cruising. It's just a fact that you have to rest players when you play in 4 competitions.

It's essentially 9 points. They are a ridiculous +28 in goal difference. We aren't going to make up a 16-goal differential there with the way they annihilate the small teams.

Can't remember being this frustrated watching a Spurs game since Poch arrived.

"We don’t want to go into RM with to depressing results"

Judging by your post, that's exactly what you're expecting!
Yep that’s right, that’s is what I thought would happen. Us going into the Madrid game with two games we loose, and I think importantly without Kane.

Not at the top level - He's no CB anyway imo and as well as he might have played until that moment - its a huge mistake and may be very costly.

Vertonghen was more to blame for the goal than Dier. He was on the cover and had the time to react where Dier had to watch the flight of the ball to see if he could attack it.

Such a shame we didn't take Kane off a few minutes earlier in the last game. I think this would have been a different game altogether.

I wish we would just go really direct to Llotente and look to get runners off him for the last 5 min

Gary Neville is highlighting Vertonghen for the goal......maybe so, maybe not, but the rush to dig out everyone’s favourite scapegoat on here is fucking embarrassing

Then you don't remember his first season very well. So many times those first few months where we just weren't at it, and thankfully most of the culprit players are now gone.
