Would have won with kane

Son did great though i thought

Not good enough second half going forward and having purposeful possesion. Not sure why because the first half was great.

Thought martial might haunt us when he came on and i also thought dier might be the mistake in us too.

Shame

No matter how much I moan about spurs. I NEVER want mourinho in charge of spurs. The most boring football I’ve ever watched.

Yes it's frustrating but football fans are so fickle

Last week we drew with the best team in the world at their place and smashed lpool 4-1 and now we lose 1-0 to a long ball team who spent million upon millions to do so and we're toothless bottle jobs who never perform in big games

???

Played with timidity and fear, making bad decisions and putting ourselves under pressure. Not a good day. Our attacking play stopped once we got 40 yards from goal.

Also beaten by a stoke goal.

This game just highlights the lack of a Zaha or Mane type of player who has the ability to beat a man and scare their back four.

So much for those saying we will beat this United team easily

The difference is Mourinho teams always know how to get a result in the big games whereas we don't
Let's be honest they weren't that great either. We gifted them their chances.

Getting a bit sick of saying it - but once again there is no point in feeling sorry for ourselves. If you want to compete at the very top it's no good just being switched on for 99% of the time. Those odd really soft moments get punished.

There's no bad luck, ultimately it wasn't good enough. Need to suck it up and really learn from these moments.

At the end of the day, if you're expectations for this squad are simply to grind out a top 4 finish, then you can brush off the result and say "no big deal." If you think this is the greatest Spurs squad in history, who need to win or compete for a title to keep their best players due to financial restrictions, then it's a more damaging result. The biggest issue with this team is the snowball effect losses like this tend to have. Bad results damage the psyche of the squad and when a team looks up and sees a club like City sitting too far away from them points wise, motivation begins to slip.

Bleh... I always write this game off every year anyway. The blurb is all going to be about how we can't win without Kane, one man team, etc etc.
