Interesting question... With this in mind, I’d like to see the following team.

Robbo
KWP Alderweireld King Tramezzani
Lamela Wanyama Dier Ginola
Keane Me

So who is gonna play up top with a (should be 'very' or even 'extremely') Keane you?:D

I think Rose, Dembele and Winks still need a bit of match fitness so I'd include them. Early sub Sissoko for Dembele if needs be. Alli needs to play through his bad patch so he's in too. Eriksen needs a rest and so does Kane.

Vorm
KWP
Sanchez
Foyth
Rose
Dembele
Winks
Dele
Georgiou
Son
Llorente

Gazza Aurier Davies Oakley-Booth Sissoko Edwards Sterling

Ally gold:

Just asked Poch about Marcus Edwards. He said he's not at the level they want yet. Said Sterling and Amos have earned their chance. I asked about Nkoudou. He said he'll get a chance to prove himself tomorrow. Said he, like others, needed to "grow up".

Disappointed to see vertonghen not being rested. Seems madness as our only available CB.

I guess he would be on the bench (especially if Dier is rested), so he still needs to attend the training. Kane/Eriksen/Dier would not even be in the squad.

Yup we basically have 16 outfield players with sterling and Amos. So team is almost certainly.
Vorm
KWP
Foyth
Sanchez
Rose
Winks
Sissoko
Nkoudou
Dele
Son
Llorente

Sterling might get a start over Son but doubt it.
Bench: Gazza davies vertonghen Aurier dembele Amos sterling.

I am pretty on board with this but I would bet Aurier starts over KWP unless he is playing Saturday. Otherwise, I'd be curious what this means for TOB and Georgiou who have been training with the first team all season.

Luke Amos and KAziah Sterling included.

Next ones to be sold to the championship?

So then, out;

Lloris
Trippier
Dier
Eriksen
Kane

In which case then i'd wager this team Poch will put out;

Vorm

Sanchez Foyth Vertonghen

Aurier Sissoko Winks Rose

Alli Son

Llorente

who is playing CB in your team?

I know the kids won't get a run out because they need to finish there group off, so it would most likely be Dier and Verts. The point is, Dier has had enough chances in the DM role. I would like to see if Juan can do it and I think he can put in a better shift than Dier.

To be fair - one of the things we are missing most right now is Dier playing DM.

So, your snide comment about Dier aside, hard to blame him for DM deficiencies when Dier has been playing in the back 3...with no DM to shield the back line.

My snide comment is just my opinion. I think his future and his strongest position is in the back 2 or 3. I don't think he has a quick enough brain to be a part of the midfield. But I agree, we need someone to help shield the back three and that is why I am suggesting Juan get a go in midfield.

I really don't mind Dier in the back line. I think he was rather lazy on that corner, but for the most part I give him a solid 7 for most of the games he has played back there. The Real game I thought he was the MOTM with all his last ditch tackles.

Georgiou has fallen off the face of the earth. I think TOB has been doing a pre season after the World Cup. Don’t think he’s featured at all since World Cup.

Two ways of looking at this:

> The decision to leave Lamela out of the CL squad was almost perfectly timed by Spurs' medics & coaching staff, coinciding with the end of the group stages.
> Grrr, this game would've been a perfect way to ease Erik back into a starting line-up.
