@Graysonti if you disagree make a comment don't just leave a doh rating. If i have said something that is wrong share it.

Apologies - changed to disagree.

Your year on year are wrong/too conservative and fail to take into account sizeable renegotiated contracts for AIA and Nike plus other new sponsorships that are now on line plus CL revenues.

2016 accounts are two years out of date.

All we hear is its an exciting time to be a spurs fan with the new stadium on the way etc...yet all I see is our brilliant team slowly disintergrating before we even get there. Potentially losing 3 of the best defenders in the league within 2 seasons would be a disaster on many levels.

I know they are out of date but they are the last available. They also don't include all of the new contracts that have been agreed, so our wages will have increased aswell.

We will always be at the mercy of bigger, wealthier clubs who can offer more wages and success, just look at arsenal who have sat in the top four for 20 years yet still get picked off by city, Utd etc when they come calling so why should we be any different.

It would, but from what I have seen so far Sanchez could well go on to be better than all of them.

From what I hear Pool had a free run at him.
75m is hardly a “free run” they offered it and nobody was going anywhere near that and they accepted it. I’d say if we were offered 75m for Toby or Jan Levy would have takeen it! However now he’d be looking for 90 at leaat

Well, if Toby goes, I hope we're not relying on Foyth this early in his career as first back up for the back 3 of Sanchez, Jan and Dier. And Dier never fills me with confidence at CB, plus we could do with him at DM while big Vic is out.

Doubt even city would offer £90m for toby. He'll be 29 soon so will have no sell on value.

I doubt City care about sell on value buy agree we won’t get that much.

Probably more towards the £60m mark

He can go with with my blessing, we can’t pay him what he’s worth in this market nor can we invest in players to the level our competitors can. This is his last big contract and he’s gonna wanna end his career with some medals.

The important thing is how well we reinvest the money from his sale imo

I think so too but he cant cover three positions by himself. The image damage 3 top players leaving could do is bigger than 1 signing imo.

And therein lies the problem with selling key first team players. Whether they want to leave/can't match their wages/don't want to keep an unhappy player/insert appropriate argument here.

We suddenly find ourselves having to sign replacements in defence, where imo CM, AM and possibly forward are the areas needed to get this squad in a position to win major honours ( in addition to keeping key players). There's no way we're going to do all that, so we're continually behind the eight ball.

Sounds depressing, but I really think the previous 2 seasons we missed our time with a lot of the big guns underperforming or in transition before they can throw shit loads of money at it.

So if replacing Toby does become necessary, who do we all think might fit the bill? I rate Wharton at Blackburn, he's a left footer, but by no means PL ready. I also like the Austrian Hinteregger, but again, probably not able to step straight in. Lascelles from Newcastle or Gibson from Middlesbrough might be better options.

Players are always going to leave. Unless we start winning regular titles or get bought by a country (city/psg) we will sell players. All we can do is get the best price and use that money to strengthen.
Wembley has been a bit of a knock and aurier has taken time to settle but him and sanchez for the price of walker in the long term will probably be good business.
