Right, but that has nothing to do with us paying in instalments.If we sell Sissoko in the summer, he'll have acrued 2 years of amortisation at £6m a year (£30m/5 x 2). That's £12m of depreciation on the accounts/written off against tax. So if we sold him at £18m we wouldn't in theory be making a loss. Anything above £18m goes back into the transfer funds.
Anyone know more about this/player amortisation than me?
