Great fun to watch that. Utterly bizarre game. No idea what City were up to but fair play to Liverpool for taking advantage of it.

I'm convinced it'll end up being City, Liverpool, us, A.N.Other this season. Mourinho can' be bothered to play in the league unless he's got a chance of winning it, and both Chelsea and Arsenal look all over the shop.

Despite the unwanted final result, as a neutral, it was a great and entertaining game especially when the Kop was silenced from time of City's second goal until the final whistle.

Everyone had draws over Christmas.

He's done it by spending money but Klopp has built a very good team there and with Can Dijk they'll be better defensively now (even though they've actually not been that bad recently).

A lot of bitterness towards them in here but nobody can deny they've been excellent today and are probably the second best team in the country at the moment.

There’s been desperate over-confidence around here in regards to Liverpool all season, it’s getting more and more nervous when people try to laugh at them.

The sooner people realise they’re a very good team and hardly ever lose games - despite apparently having the worst defence and goalkeeper since Swindon (they haven’t) the sooner we can be realistic about how big the challenge is from them.

Even City getting it back to 3 changes the dynamics of this result. If it ended 4 - 1 the players would have been singing and dancing, as it is they feel they have got away with one. Must be tough being a team that can score 4 and still be at risk of not winning.

Er, you are aware of what team you support, right?

If United get Sanchez during this window, I think United will not drop out of top four. Chelsea may slip out if the issues with Conte remain or worsen.

Didn’t watch the game but seen they scored four, however on the BBCPool website one of their bullet points reads:

Home team scored several stunning goals

Since when has several equated to four? I heard one was a deflection off the keeper as well...

But that's a debate for another thread.....

City look like they have burned out completely but even with a complete collapse in form I can't see anybody catching them, think Pool will finish 2nd though and I also think United will finish 3rd.

If anybody is going to drop out of the top 4 it's going to be Chelsea.
Spot on.

I hope Toby and all our first choice defensive players are back and available to play against United and Liverpool.
