I’m 46 and i’m a Nas fan. Having said that his first LP (do youngsters even know what that is) did come out 24 years ago so he’s defo not just for the youngsters.

Illmatic was a classic!

Sorry if offended Some come on to read information about malcom not unfunny jokes .
Fair enough to an extent but when there's no fresh ITK the next best thing about this site is the user's trying to out-do each with puns and jokes of questionable quality. Can't expect this to be a constant detailed analysis of everything to do with him.

It`s not about taste most young people would know him I think even if they dont like the music..
was just a thought as I noticed and posted in another thread our shockingly low level of social media followers.. I thought it equalled older fan base but maybe over thinking it

Yeah, sure sounds like you might be overthinking it but I guess it depends on your definition of old age. Despite being fairly ambivalent to his music I was well aware of Nas over 20 years ago when I was in high school. I don't know how old you are but he was actually reasonably famous back in the mid-90's. I can only guess you're going after the over 40's though, in which case you can ignore this message.

I'm actually kind of surprised at the idea that "young people" are highly into Nas, but whatever. Is he still around in a big way then?

As for Malcom, I shall be severely upset if we don't complete this signing. Think he could be something close to a left footed Coutinho for us (blatant attempt to make this post relevant to topic and less spam!)

The 'What are you Currently Listening to?' thread seems to have found its way in to the transfer rumors forum. I'll go to the music thread and see if there is any news on Malcom, fingers crossed!

Given that I made the original comparison between Nas and Malcom and started this shitstorm I'd like to add that Nas is my favourite musical artist despite the release of Illmatic being 3 years before my existence.
