I don't understand how we can lack motivation when this is the only realistic trophy we can win this season.

This is what happens when you tell the players that these kind of trophies are beneath them, I think they need to understand they have acheived nothing yet, that kind of arrogance pisses me off.

It could be that Levy has told him to prioritize the league?

Just speculating...

This is what we need to do in the summer transfer window:
Sell Trippier and replace him with KWP
Unfortunately sell Dembele and replace him with Onomah
Sell Sissoko and Nkoudou and give Marcus Edwards minutes
Buy a CM
Buy a creative attacking midfielder like Eriksen
Buy a fast winger (Lucas + Malcom looks like happening)
Sell Llorente and buy a quality striker for once

If we sold Trippier, Sissoko, Dembele and Nkoudou and replaced them with Onomah, KWP and Edwards we could save some big money and invest in other areas, we would probably get around 40-70 million from them.
Dembele still has a role to play in this squad imo if managed and used correctly. Trippier and Sissoko are givens, with Josh and KWP as their replacements.

Edwards needs to show his worth on loan, and when he comes back he needs to prove himself in the league cup, if poch decides to be gracious enough to give him a chance.

Quality striker won't come to be back-up. Llorente was the best back-up striker we could have bought. He has pedigree but unfortunately it's not worked out. It doesn't help that he barely gets meaningful minutes. If I'm a striker out there and I get told 'come to Spurs and be our second choice' I wouldn't want to join because I wouldn't get enough game time to get any rhythm. Typically a second choice still gets a fair number of starts but when Kane is fit he plays regardless of the level of opposition.

Our best plan is to buy wide forwards which we are so these players can play other positions and get gametime that way. Or develop an academy striker who won't cost us anything.

75% of what you post is top shit, I didnt bother visiting the forum after Southampton bc I was extremely frustrated and I was probably going to act like a fool, not anything like poch out. But I didnt want to do any sort of kneejerking. So I'm sorry I am lacking in your complete SC posting history. But if you knew anything about my posting habits, you'd know that I'm not just some irrational spineless bed wetter.

You can say my conclusion is rubbish, Idc, imo you and your lot are just like @Bus-Conductor brilliant most of the time, but also capable of being stubborn gits, that will protect shortcomings to the very last breath and beyond.

Wait, have I smoked too much crack today or is this 2013 again?

Time for him to go

....... and watch some of these games back, learn whatever lessons from them, and we'll hopefully benefit going forward.
really disapointed their wasnt some hidden pro-sissoko white text thrown in, feels like a real missed opportunity.

If we do all that, Edwards wouldn’t get a single minute of playing time. Lucas, Malcom, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Lamela and the new creative attacking midfielder would take up any spare game minutes that Edwards would be in line for

I think we only need tweaking. Moura being heavily linked, rumours of Modric in the summer. These two would make a massive difference, especially if Winks returns to form.

The centre forward issue needs a look but it’s a really difficult one because of Harry.

Still some very odd calls yesterday highlighted by jenas. Playing 3 at back is all about the 2 wide CB coming out and playing with the ball. Was that ever going to be a possibility on a bumpy pitch against league 2 opposition. Did Poch not realise this ?
When you do play 3 at back you have one less obvious forward player so the ones you do have need to be creative. But 4 of our 5 forwards players were sissoko dembele wanyama Llorente how was that ever going to work.
I can’t pretend I’m not slightly alarmed by some of Poch tactics and selections this season. Currently he’s just about getting away with it. But a massive 5 games coming up for him. I just hope he gets these right.

We are clutching at straws believing that Onomah is our saviour. Have a look at the Villa fanzine and hear what they think.. Not too positive.

The cold hard facts are we lack a presence as a creative CM to be a title challenging team. City have De Bruyne united have Pogba. Some may scoff at Pogba but he is a presence and is clearly improving. Stick either of those 2 in our team and we’d probably be 10 pts better off. Dembele is probably one of the most frustrating players to ever wear a spurs shirt for all his huff and puff as a creative CM he rarely scores or assists or has big moments in games. Winks well jury is still out for me and his injury situation is a concern. The fact is it’s probably currently the weakest area in our 1st xi in possibly the most crucial area in any team. If we had the same quality as Kane Eriksen toby at CM we could be devastating.

This is what we need to do in the summer transfer window:
Sell Trippier and replace him with KWP - KWP hasn't shown anything to suggest he is anywhere near as good as Trippier
Unfortunately sell Dembele and replace him with Onomah - Please see above but change names
Sell Sissoko and Nkoudou and give Marcus Edwards minutes - I agree with this but he doesn't play in either of their positions
Buy a CM - agreed
Buy a creative attacking midfielder, Eriksen type player - We have Lamela coming back to fitness
Buy a fast winger (Lucas + Malcom looks like happening) - Yes
Sell Llorente and buy a quality striker for once - Llorente is probably the best back-up striker we could have got

If we sold Trippier, Sissoko, Dembele and Nkoudou and replaced them with Onomah, KWP and Edwards we could save some big money and invest in other areas, we would probably get around 40-70 million from them. And massively weaken the team imo.

Love it when people start with something like "Cold hard facts" then fill the rest of the post with opinion.

So Poch again plays a very leggy and casual Dier, and a totally unbalanced midfield featuring Sissoko and it still doesn't work- against fkin Newport.

I have yet to see this team selection produce anything better than relegation level performances. For yesterday's first half, see the Wimbledon first half.

Three at the back with such ineffective wing backs is also a waste of a shirt.

He got very very lucky not to preside over one of the most humiliating results in the Clubs history yesterday. He deserved otherwise.

Praise him when he's brill, tell it straight when he ain't.
