ALSO:
This game gives us a fantastic opportunity to establish links with a quality prem side..Dale will have very little opportunities at a PR level to rub shoulders with the likes of the Spurs management, coaching staff ,directors etc.

We must behave in a completely professional level on and off the pitch and give Spurs a very positive impression of our club from top to bottom, from fan to manager .

Any shenanigans such as what We saw on Tues will be the detriment of any such relationship...
A few half wits could scupper any chance we may have in Spurs looking at sending any of their young talent of which they'll be ample for a spell at Spotland.

So lets enjoy the day the next opportunity may not come for many years!!!

Arsenal to Juventus to Rochdale...What a week for the Spurs players and fans alike!!!

Just seen this on the scum forum (I refuse to link that shithole Mania here)

“Anthony Taylor will officiate the north London derby. The Gunners have won seven and lost none of the last 10 matches with him in charge, including a game each against Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City & Man Utd”

Hmm (I think they are clutching at straws.)

I don't, particularly after last weekend! With the media and anyone connected with Liverpool trashing the officials and being ever so upset, because Liverpool are always supposed to win, I see an FA stitch up happening, we get fuck all from the ref in these games anyway, so expect even less Saturday!!

People on here already know how I feel about the refs and the media in this country when it comes to football.

The media always crawl up Liverpool’s arse even when they get one win, the love in over Klopp was sickening, when they beat City it was like they won the league.

There is a definite double standard when it comes to the football media no doubt about it and we are the club that none of the “old boys” want to see in that top four because in a perfect world to them it’s Arsenal, Chelsea, United and Liverpool still.

We could finish above Liverpool for the next 20 years and they could be scraping around near 17th and they would still be banging on, this is why I ignore the media myself.

The wider issue though is like I said before, the media know what they are doing, they drum up controversy in order to try and sway officials in games and pile pressure on them, if enough people start repeating something then everyone starts to believe it, a typical human trait we see repeated time and time again from politics all the way to sport.

And if people don’t think officials read things and watch things and allow it to influence their decisions then they have their head buried in the sand.

The outrage I have seen since that Pool game over what were CORRECT decisions has been nothing short of an embarrassment and has just proven to me what I have known all along quite frankly.

Let’s hope the official on Saturday does his job like the officials did against pool because if not we could be up against 12, like we were last time with Mike Dean who was on a crusade to prove he isn’t a spurs supporter and gave them not one, but TWO incorrect decisions that lead to goals.

If this comment was on RAWK we'd be pissing ourselves. Don't get me wrong I get exactly how you feel, but we have had our fair share of plaudits. Liverpool have been playing attractive football under Klopp and deserve their share too.

We got the decisions on Sunday but created our own luck by fighting until the final whistle. At the Emirates we were a bit shit and deserved to lose, Mike Dean could have knocked it past Hugo himself but it wouldn't have changed which side deserved 3 points that day. I'd rather think Dean had one of his famed 'off days' rather than let some gooner cretins on Twitter play mind games with him.

I just hope we play so well that they still wouldn't get a sniff if Wenger himself was reffing.

Newport fans are roasting one of our players :(

Their right back was a fucking freak of nature. Clearly they don't test for steroids in league 2.

We get our plaudits through gritted teeth and with limitations, we also have our players sold off by every mouth piece in Britain every single time they mention us as well.

But irrespective of that, my overall point is that the old “big four” have a protective cone around them from the media because the media is mostly made up of ex-pros that played for these sides, that in itself isn’t an issue because it’s fair game, they can kiss Liverpools Jaxie until the cows come home as far as I am concerned, it is annoying? Yes, does it matter? No.

Liverpool fans shouldn’t have any grievances, they have been average for years and have only started to look like something resembling a half decent football team again since Suarez left and yet the media have never changed their stance on how good they are, they are the media darlings, not us.

What does matter though is these same ex-pros also have the tools to use their platform as a way to put pressure on match officials, that’s when it becomes an issue and given their undying commitment to the older 4 and to an extent any of the clubs with “big money” it becomes a serious issue that needs addressing in my opinion.

You forget companies like sky have sway over fixture placement among many other things, the Leicester season was what really truly opened my eyes to this shit, hearing them all essentially willing them over the line whilst watching Refs allowing Leicester players climb all over offensive players and giving them really high percentage fouls at any opportunity alongside hearing the reaction from people when Jon Moss of all people, dared to give a pen against Leicester in the game on the run in among many other things just made me realise how unprofessional this league is behind the scenes.

We have already had two premier league refs come out in the last 6 years saying things that go against the very fabric of being neutral with their decision making.

I agree we were shit that day but it doesn’t change the fact that his decisions led to both goals and there had been significant pressure on him previous about how he celebrated at spurs, something that was shared within the sports media, you can’t tell me it wouldn’t have been in his mind before the game, Clattenburg is an absolute self-serving twat but I think the most honest thing he has said since he left was his comments on how he already had a plan in mind before the game and I bet you he isn’t the only one.

To be fair though. I think Arsenal are not as protected as Pool and United. In fact, most transfer windows, their best players are always being linked away. Just his year alone, Sanchez and Ozil were constantly being pushed to leave in the media. United and Liverpool are the two most successful clubs in English history, the money clubs (City and Chelsea) are not open to such shenanigans as they can pretty much buy/keep who they want. And as we know, the football people in the media only care about wealth, not doing things properly and promoting youth.

Well, Jeremy Corbyn has just decided that telling us not to use Yid chants would be a fantastic way to deflect from the allegations of anti-semitism against him...
he's a hypocritical twat just playing to the extreme sjw political movement that is sweeping through Western politics. We should keep up the practice on the grounds of protecting free speech, let alone because it's an important part of our clubs identity.

To be fair that only really started when they were down to the last year of the contract, I don't think every pundit was talking about Sanchez and Ozil leaving one year into their contract.
That said I think it's not so much an agenda as playing safe, like at the beginning of the season and who will finish top four, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal are the safe options, at the end of the season they can say well you can't blame me for getting that wrong, Liverpool, because they spend a fortune every summer, are their first reserve option and it just seems people remain surprised when we keep doing it..

Poch said (in the independent) diving is a 'minimal detail' and over analysis is killing the game...to which Lineker tweets 'No it's cheating that will kill the game Mauricio.'

That's it really - a slight dig...unless he's said something else that i missed

Lineker is a hypocritical sod.... How many times did he attempt to round the keeper and conveniently fall over the outstretched hands of the Gk?

He was looking for it, is that any different from diving?

Yes. One's a foul the other isn't.

Not having a go at poch or the players, every team does it. I just wish they wouldn't.
