I thought Davies pen was more stupid than Aurier's.

Costa is very hard to mark, especially with open space. He controlled him better than I expected.

He didn’t control him ffs. If it wasn’t for Higuain his inability to ‘control’ Costa would have cost us the tie.

I just realised tonight we have just got some world class players. We're not even greater than the sum of our parts anymore.

Juventus failed to win a Champions League home game after being two goals ahead for the just the second time and the first time since April 1999 – losing 3-2 to Man Utd after being 2-0 up in the opening 11 minutes (semi-final second leg).
Maybe it’s an omen....United went on to win the whole thing!

Davies didn't see the player though. Don't think he knew he was there. Aurier repeated the same identical mistake for the third time this season. He was poor all game.

Anyway it was a great result against a very strong team. That's what I'm concentrating on now.

More than happy to cut him some slack the first, or maybe even second time he does it. Third time just emphasised that he's got a long way to go. Madrid away, West Ham away and could have cost us tonight too

Shit player, no fucking brain at all, a complete liability.

The only reason he gets so much slack is because otherwise we have to admit how much we miss Walker.

We now have to digest this, then put it away. The next match is what matters. We have to think how good this felt and make sure we're there next year for more.

I have a terrible confession to make.

I woke up at about 7am (I'm in Australia), 10 minutes in to the game, looked at the score, and went back to sleep again. (In my defence, I was pretty tired and there's no coverage here so would have had to find a dodgy stream.) I obviously thought we were a bit fucked, but still went back to sleep dreaming we could turn it around.

I woke up again in the 82nd minute and couldn't work out whether I was awake or dreaming.

I never leave matches early or turn them off if we're losing. Never. Especially not one this big. Please forgive me. I'll say a thousand Hail Harrys and repent and watch every second of the return leg.

All the conditioning and fitness work Poch has done last few seasons along with the technical work is coming together

We just looked stronger, fitter and technically superior tonight. It seems like Juve are not used to being pressed like that so high up the pitch

That said we don’t look defensively as solid as last year without Walker and Toby with Davies and Rose broadly similar although I thought Davies in the first half especially was not his best

Hope Aurier comes good but he needs some mental coaching - can’t keep doing these rash dives when he panics
