One year ago Arsenal fans were mocking us for getting knocked out by Gent .

Not laughing now are They??!
Oh, you should see their desperate attempts to rationalise the last four days. They're in their own little hell. I just love waiting for their replies about cups, etc. One of them even told me that we'd win St Totteringham's Day again this year: I didn't have the heart to point out it was another imaginary trophy of theirs. It's like toying with balls of wool.

Eriksen goal in 10 seconds?

Okay, I’ll give you that one.

It’s a rarity though, we usually start sloppy. Tonight, City and Liv away. Newport ( both games) and quite a lot generally at home this season.

It’s definitely something Poch needs to get through to the players.

What a result lads.

It’s weird that at 2 nil down the calming voice of David Pleat made me confident it wasn’t gonna be a Real Madrid quarter final repeat

I have a terrible confession to make.

I woke up at about 7am (I'm in Australia), 10 minutes in to the game, looked at the score, and went back to sleep again. (In my defence, I was pretty tired and there's no coverage here so would have had to find a dodgy stream.) I obviously thought we were a bit fucked, but still went back to sleep dreaming we could turn it around.

I woke up again in the 82nd minute and couldn't work out whether I was awake or dreaming.

I never leave matches early or turn them off if we're losing. Never. Especially not one this big. Please forgive me. I'll say a thousand Hail Harrys and repent and watch every second of the return leg.

......Nope

I shut off the Liverpool game after Salah made it 2-1.

Why do people always look for scapegoats?!

Plenty of our players had poor moments, including Harry missing a sitter, but we stuck in there and got an amazing result as a team.

Fingers crossed we put in a Liverpool or United or Arsenal performance at Wembley. I think we will.

Agree. How anyone can blame Davies for the first pen. Is beyond me. And the ref gave him a yellow! Fucking hell... he was just going for the ball

Van Dijk was also going for the ball

He played well though. But I disagree he's not to blame

The Moose - Jeepers ! Majestic.

What a night, lost my voice and I'm on my own !

One of my favourite 'off pitch' memories was when Eriksen scored from the FK - there was a shot of one of the Ultras
with his back to the pitch on a stanchion and orchestrating his choir but turned to see the ball hit the back of the net.

LOL
Yes, I spotted him as well, absolute classic.

P.s. Chiellini could easily have had two yellows for constant diving, constant going through the back of players and constant taking players out on the edge of the box. He got VERY lucky too.

That's a good question, but you're crying in the wilderness here, son!

They were both penalties, but you can't really question Davies thinking, his awareness maybe but not his thinking.
Aurier however...

i would have taken a 2-2 draw before the game - brilliant result.. but at the same time i feel we should have won that. We are that good at the moment. I love this team.

Both their goals were down to poor spatial awareness. I never understand why people watch where the ball is rather than where it might go to. Anyway, he rebooted himself and played well the rest of the match. I wish Dier would also think before making square passes behind our press.

Yeah had it from my cousin yesterday. He' been in hiding until yesterday but came out with the "You'll make a DVD about it line"

My only response could be "Yeah damn right, and I'll buy it because it was bloody brilliant"

He's gone back into hiding.

How can you sleep when you come from a land down under, where women glow and men thunder?

An excellent recovery from such adversity, many teams would have folded but we are made of sterner stuff than that. If there is one word of caution, Aurier and our coaching staff have got to realise that he cannot and should not be allowed to put in daft lunging challenges like that against top teams in the penalty area, he and they must know what it will lead to and Aurier clearly knows where he is when he is doing this, it was an indentical challege that led to a penalty in Madrid earlier this season, once is bad enough but to repeat the same mistake is plain stupidity and asking for trouble, eventually it's going to cost us especially against top quality opposition in the knock out stages. There are only so many times you will get away with it.

Back to the positives, we've given ourselves a great chance so let's seize the moment, but FFS we must learn from these errors. COYS !!!
