Mate you are so wrong he was looking at the Brighton player and could have pulled back a bit but went in with intent. Not to give even a foul is an absolute disgraceThat doesn't denote a foul though does it. What if a player was standing still with the ball and someone slid them firmly? The slider would be going into the tackle with infinatly more force then the one with the ball, doesn't make it a foul
They both went in, one came out worse then the other, that's football. We can't make it a non-contact sport.
I have to say I haven't seen a replay though because they seem to not be showing one
